[Gelöst] WLAN MD96500 SW-Schalter

Hallo zusammen,

Seit einiger Zeit versuche ich herauszufinden, welche Linux-Distribution bei mir Windows ablösen soll. OpenSuse 11.0 gefällt mir sehr gut, aber mein altes Medion MD96500 (das Teufelsding mit den Tasten zum Aktivieren des WLAN) will unter dieser Distro (und unter Debian etc. ) einfach nicht an das WLAN (Speedport W700V der Telekom). Unter Windows XP Home funzt das Ganze.
Nach vielem Probieren bin ich heute auf das Skript „collectNWData.sh“ gestossen. Die Ausgabe siehe unten:

Wo liegen die Probleme:
a) beim Aufsetzten habe ich die DVD aus der c't Spezial benutzt und anscheinend das Netzwerk unter ifup eingerichtet; ein Umstellen der Konfiguration in Yast unter Netzwerkeinstellungen auf „Networkmanager“ zeigte zwar die PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection auf DHCP an, aber unten bleibt disconnected, siehe auch „iwconfig“-Resultate:

Die Lösung für das Einschalten schien gefunden zu sein:

a) http://www.hollstegge.de/md42200/wlan.php; diese Site ist da, aber der erforderliche Treiber unter http://www.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~tauber/acerhk/ erzeugte die beiliegende Meldung:

Aber man sollte versuchen „Alles zu lesen“, also http://www.linux-club.de/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=96924, das auf die Liste verweist und dann zu http://www.cakey.de/acerhk/ . Hurra, da sind die Dateien, die ich oben vermisste. Also die Anleitung von http://www.linux-club.de/viewtopic.php?t=50341 mit den Dateien. Das wird werden. Entpacken funzt.

Und jetzt versuche ich mit den Zähnen ein bestimmtes Körperteil zu erreichen, was aber anatomisch nur wenigen glückt ..... Oder nur Anfängerfehler? Die Erfahrungen mit SINIX sind einfach zu lange her.

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
Demnach hat Dein Gerät einen HW Switch mit dem das WLAN ausgeschaltet werden kann. Hast Du das mal geprüft?
PS: Die 340E ist inkorrekt. Wird gleich gefixed.

Hallo @peroWach
Wenn Du in dem Script „(2) Kabellose Verbindung (WLAN)“ die Option nimmst dann bitte auch Kabel abziehen.
Ein Test mit Kabel bringt nicht viel.

Edit: In dem Fall habe mich geirrt. Auch ein Test mit angeschlossenem Kabel hilft bei der Treiber suche.

Es scheint wohl auch noch SW Schalter zu geben ...Meine virtuellen Tulpen im Garten haben mir folgendes zugeflüstert wie das Problem gelöst werden kann: :roll:

Und dann noch um es "Rebootfest" zu machen
YaST => System => Editor für /etc/sysconfig/ Dateien => Suche MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT => acerhk eintragen

Danke, das lief besser als selbst einrichten. Hätte ich selbst darauf kommen können. Aber mit den Repos bin ich als Newbie noch nicht so vertraut.

Und dann noch um es "Rebootfest" zu machen
YaST => System => Editor für /etc/sysconfig/ Dateien => Suche MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT => acerhk eintragen

Mit ein paar zusätzlichen Aufräumarbeiten ging's dann. Der Weg ist klasse (Paket über repo installiert). Rebootfest bin ich noch nicht, aber da probier ich noch ein bißchen. 2 Befehle sind auch schnell mit copa paste erledigt!
