Emacs beept bei AltGr

Hallo,
wenn ich in Emacs (X11) die Taste AltGr drücke ertönt ein Beep. Das ist recht nervig, weil in Latex-Dokumenten der Backslash sehr häufig vorkommt (der auf einer deutschen Tastatur leider nur in Kombination mit AltGr darstellbar ist).
Auf dem Rechner läuft SuSE 9.2.

bist Du dir sicher, dass das nur im Emacs auftritt? Wenn ja, dann poste doch bitte mal deine .emacs, und teil uns mit welchen Emacs Du nutzt incl. Versionsnummer.

das 'Beepen' tritt nur in emacs auf (die Taste funktioniert ja auch, nur beept es halt) und zwar unabhängig vom Format der Datei. Mein emacs ist von der Suse 9.2 CD (GNU Emacs 21.3.1)

Die Konfigurationsdateien .emacs und .gnu-emacs habe ich nicht verändert. Meine eigenen Anpassungen sind in .gnu-emacs-custom.

Moin Gamic,

deine Konfigurationen sehen völlig normal aus, nichts zu entdecken wo der Beep herkommen könnte. Hast Du für LaTeX noch zusätzliche Pakete wie z.B. Auctex installiert?
