Squid start

wenn ich den Squid im runlevel Editor starten will bekomme ich "exit 1 unspezifizierter Fehler" und der Squid läuft nicht. Auf der Konsole mit "Squid start" kommt keine Meldung. Im Runleveleditor wird der Squid mit "No*" angzeigt, läuft aber.
Das Problem trat nach einem "zypper patch" auf. Wobei nach dem Aufruf von "zypper" die Meldung kam das ein patch auch den zypper betraf und ich "zypper patch" noch einmal aufrufen solle.

System Suse 11.4 (64) okay soll noch auf 12.3 angehoben werden. Server tot / 11.4 hatte ich da / nur DSL-Modem / also 11.4 um 12.3 downzuloaden / cyrus-imap restauriert in der Hoffnung das mit "zypper up" auch der imap auf neuere Version angehoben wird und ich dann den imap in 12.3 wieder mit allen Mails aufbauen kann.
Viele Worte, viel Erklärung aber ich bekomme sonst nur den Rat sofort auf 12.3 upzugraden. :zensur:

Was ich gern wüsste:
Warum läuft der Squid beim Konsolen Start aber nicht mit dem Runleveleditor? Vermutung war eine Änderung in /etc/sysconfig/squid die neu geschrieben wurde. Aber da stand nur ein shutdown-timeout drinn.

Also falls jemand dieses Verhalten erklären kann???

Moin spoensche,

das ist ja das Problem. Beim Start von der Konsole gibt es keine Meldung / Fehlermeldung. In der /var/log/messages gibt es keine Auffälligkeiten.
Sag mir wie ich den Squid geschwätzig mache. Geht es mit "squid -vvv start"? kann ich in der squid.conf das verbose-level hochschrauben?

Ich hatte die debug_options auf All,3 gesetzt brachte aber zu viel output :???:

Squid läuft wie gesagt nicht, mehr Info's kommen nicht. Keine weitere Meldung wenn ich den Squid im runlevel-editor stoppe. Okay er läuft ja auch nicht.

Also der Squid läuft, nimmt Anfragen auf 192.168.xx.10 auf Port 3128 entgegen und ist somit nicht das Problem.

Du kannst ja mal testen, ob du mit dem Browser auf 192.168....10:3128 darauf zugreifen kannst.

Die Konfiguration des Services für den Systemd käme jetzt noch in Betracht.
Stoppe den Squid mal und führe dann mal

systemctl squid start
aus und poste mal das Ergebnis.

systencrl squid start sagt "is not a typo cpmmand not found blah blah".

Ist halt noch 11.4. Kein systemd

ACL's für localhost und localnet. Hierbei aber 10.xxxxxxx und 172.16.xxxx rausgenommen.
Mhhh, ich sollte wohl den localhost noch mal eintragen, sprich lauschen lassen. Aber ist das Grund für mein Problem? Okay da wird was zugelassen was nicht definiert ist.

Die Verbindungen vom localhost zum Squid musst du erlauben, weil du dem manager ja die vorher die Verbindung erlaubt hast. (

Das zu deinem angeblichen nicht editieren.

PS:
Admins lassen die User nicht an ihrer Konfig rum hantieren geschweige den auch nur Ansatzweise an ihr Hoheitsgebiet.

Ganz klar, ich wollte bloß sagen das ich an meinem Post nix geändert habe :p sprich editiert.
Jupp den http_access allow localhost hatte ich wieder in die config eingetragen nachdem ich die Quelle deines Zitates verfasst hatte. :???:
