Die Firmware hatte ich mit dem firmware-cutter, den ich über yast installiert hatte, heruntergeladen und dabei installiert.

Ich habe jetzt mal im AP das ESSID umbenannt in swlantest. Dann habe ich nur auf neue Verbindung geklickt. Er hat sich wieder versucht zu verbinden, aber ein Paßwort wurde nicht abgefragt.

Das verstehe ich nicht.

Das Passwort wird doch im Knetworkmanager eingegeben und nicht abgefragt.

Mein Vorschlag:
Verschlüsselung auf WEP umstellen dann mit Kommandos iwconfig, route versuchen.

Hallo an alle,
ich habe gestern openSuse 11.1 in der 64 bit Variante auf dem Laptop installiert. Dann habe ich noch über Yast den Broadcom firmware-cutter installiert und anschließend in einer Konsole als root den Befehl "install_bcm43xx_firmware" ausgeführt (mit Kabel-Netzwerkverbindung zum Internet). Anschließend einmal neu Booten und dann funktionierte die Netzwerkeinrichtung über den KNetworkmanager so, wie es eigentlich sein sollte. Und jetzt habe ich Wlan-Zugriff ohne Probleme.
