[gelöst] Rettung von Daten alter FP mit SuSeLinux 4.41 !!!

Hallo und guten Morgen !

Ich benötige Hilfe bei der Rettung von Daten einer älteren Festplatte (1,7GB) mit SuSe Linux 4.4.1 unter OpenSuse 10.2.

Habe OpenSuse 10.2 auf meinen (aktuellen) Notebook als PC, sodass ich die FP an einem älteren Compaq DeskPro EP Series, Pentium III 500Mhz, unter 10.2 intalliert habe (Rechner der Kids :).
Beim 'booten' bekomme ich (timeout) Probleme und die FP wird nicht richtig vom System erkannt.
Zeitweise habe ich die Partitionen unter Yast richtig erkannt - bzw. muß ich mit der Option 'failsafe' booten und es werden die Daten auf den Partitionen nicht richtigt erkannt.
Zu Beginn hatte ich Zugriff auf die Daten, doch nach Neustart und fsck traten weitere Probleme auf.

1. Wie kann ich am besten vorab ein komplettes Image der gesamten FP sichern ?

2. Wie und mit welchem Tool kann ich die Linux Filesysteme am besten bzgl. Datensicherung am System anbinden (mounten) ?

Ich habe auf Hinweis eines Kollegen folgendes erfolgreich vorgenommen:

1.Die Platte in der Partitionstabelle ausgetragen da es beim 'booten'
stets zu Problemen mit dem file system check kam.
Dann habe ich die Platte manuell als "read only" z.B. unter /mnt/c4
gemounted.

2. mit dd of=bakc4 if=/mnt/c4 noerror
ein Image der FP in eine Datei bakc4 erstellt

3. backup file "bakc4" als "c4" gemounted mit
mount -r bakc4 /mnt/c4 -o loop

4. dann im lokalen Verzeichnis für "c4" mit
cp -rv /mnt/c4 die Dateien kopiert.

Ebenso kann man nach einer Sicherungskopie dann auch beliebig oft mit dem file system check die Image Datei bearbeiten.
