[gelöst] ltsp5 und opensuse 10.3

Hallo,
bin Neuling in Sachen ltsp. Habe mal auf der http://www.ltsp.org geschaut.
Was muß ich denn für die Installation auf Suse 10.3 dort laden ?

For example, if you really wanted LTSP-5 on Fedora, you could take the Ubuntu_6.10_i386 tarball, and install it into the /opt directory of your Fedora server. Keep in mind that while your server is running Fedora, the thin clients would be executing Ubuntu bits. Once the user logs in, however, they'd be getting a session on the Fedora server and everything would look like Fedora to them. Seems kind of mind-warping, doesn't it?

Ich würde noch die LTSP 4.2 nehmen. Letztlich ist das aber Geschmacksache, nur LTSP 5 direkt auf SuSE ist noch in Arbeit.

das ist definitiv nicht sinnvoll!?

Enweder mit den ltsp-utils LTSP 4.2 installieren oder LTSP 5 aka KIWI-LTSP, siehe http://en.opensuse.org/LTSP.

Die Arbeiten scheinen mitlerweile so weit vorangekommen zu sein, dass ich glatt mal openSUSE mit KIWI-LTSP installieren werde.

Da aber Ubuntu 8.04 LTS vor der Tür steht, sollte man ernsthaft erwägen Ubuntu zu installieren, wenn man Interesse an LTSP 5 hat.
