[gelöst] Elitegroup K7S5A und kein Sound unter Suse 10.0

Hallo!

Ich beschäftige mich schon seit geraumer Zeit mit Suse Linux 10.0.
Es ist ein tolles Projekt und ich würde mich gerne etwas intensiver damit beschäftigen.


Doch leider gibt es massig Probleme mit der Hardwareerkennung.
Es wurden einige Geräte nicht erkannt. :?

Wirklich störend finde ich allerdings, dass ich keinen Sound habe.
Der Soundchip wird in der Liste zwar aufgeführt, funktioniert aber leider nicht. Die Methode mit ALSA habe ich auch schon probiert, aber leider ohne Erfolg.

Da es sich bei dem Mainboard um ein besonders verbreitetes Modell handelt, hoffe ich, dass schon jemand ne Lösung dafür gefunden hat. :)

Danke für die ausgiebigen Daten über deine hardware. Damit kann man dir sicher helfen... nee mal im Ernst. Ich glaub dass hier kaum jemand aus dem Stehgreif weiß was auf diesem Elitegroup K7S5A verbaut ist... und dass wir da jetzt nachschauen ist zuviel verlangt.

Damit mal rumprobieren. Inbesonders 'alsaconf' von Konsole aus starten. Und nicht die alsa-Version 1.10 von Packman installieren.

In der Mainboard-Anleitung steht dazu folgendes geschrieben:
AC97 Codec
-Compliant AC97 2.1 specification
- Supports 18-bit ADC (Analog Digital Converter) and DAC
(Digital Analog Converter) as well as 18-bit stereo full-duplex codec

Gängig ist auch die Bezeichnung (und so wird sie auch von Linux erkannt):

Die methode mit YaST config löschen und mit alsaconf einrichten haste durch, ja? dann versuch mal mit acpi=noirq zu booten (steht im selben thread)

tja wie sind die Effekte genau? Wird das Modul geladen (lsmod)? Sind im Mixer die Lautstärkeregler auch offen? Sind die Ein-Ausgabekanäle im Mixer passend eingestellt?Welches Ausgabe-Plugin ist im KDE Kontrollzentrum angegeben? Wie testest Du? Sound aus dem KDE Kontrollzentrum?

Und jetzt zu Nukem36:

Es wird scheinbar alles geladen. KMix und die darin angezeigten Lautstärkeregler sind aktiv. Und unter lsmod werden auch einige "Sound"-Module angezeigt.

Zum Testen starte ich einfach ein Spiel (z.B. Frozen-Bubble) oder Yast.

So wie ich das lese braucht die Karte besondere Einstellungen. Verwende zum testen mal

ogg123 /opt/kde3/share/sounds/KDE_Logout_3.ogg

Da sieht man ggf. auch Fehlermeldungen des Programms ogg123

Äh... Ich bin noch ein richtiger Linux-Noob.
Von daher kann ich mit dem Link nicht viel anfangen.

Und beim Abspielen der ogg-Datei stand nur:

Audio Device: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) output

Playing: /opt/kde3/share/sounds/KDE_Logout_3.ogg
Ogg Vorbis stream: 2 channel, 44100 Hz

Done.


Hören konnte ich aber nichts!

das ist doch schon konkreter. Aus meiner Sicht gibts da nur 3 Problemfelder, was da sein kann:

- Lautsprecher falsch angeschlossen
- Kanal ist abgeschaltet (mute)
- alsa soundmodul zickt rum

Die ersten beiden Sachen kannst Du ja zur Sicherheit nochmal checken.( Nr. 2 mit alsamixer -> Shell öffnen und alsamixer tippen und starten)

Bei Nr. 3 wird's schwieriger, aber nicht unlösbar, denn da würde ich empfehlen die Alsa-Quellen zu laden und zu übersetzen. Wie das geht findest Du hier:

Du musst allerdings gcc, make etc. installieren damit Du alsa auch kompilieren kannst.

Kleiner Tip am Rande:

Ruf mal kmix (oder den Mixer deiner Wahl) und schau mal, ob der "SPDIF Out" Schalter aktiviert ist. Wenn ja, ausmachen!
Genau das war mein Problem!

Nur, um die Hoffnung nicht zu verlieren:

Ich bin auch Noob, habe SuSE 10 und das gleiche Board und keinerlei Probleme...

Dank ATI-Grafikkarte und anderer Hemmnisse habe ich außerdem ca. 5 komplette Neuinstallationen hinter mir und der Sound hat jedesmal funktioniert.

Endlich hab auch ich Sound! 8)

2 Dinge, die ich getan habe:

1. Netzwerkkarte und TV-Karte ausgebaut und Suse komplett neu installiert
2. ALSA via Online-Update aktualisiert
