[Gelöst] smart hängt

Nach erfolgreicher Installation von Smart hab ich zwei mir unerklärliche Probleme:

1. Jedesmal wenn ich das gui starte muss ich die Channels von neuem einlesen.
2. Smart (gui) hat die Tendenz "hängenzubleiben"; Der Prozess lässt sich dann auch nicht als su killen.

hat jemand ein paar Tips für mich?

smart ist noch schwer Beta. Ich teste das gerade, bin aber auch das ein oder andere mal mit Abstürzen konfrontiert worden.

1.) Hatte ich, wenn das Programm abgestürzt ist und die Konfiguaration nicht gespeichert worden ist. Da die Konfiguration nicht mehr in Konfig-Dateien erfolgt sondern, kannste da nix machen.

2.) Killlen kannst du das auch nicht so ohne weiteres. Du kannst versuchen das mit STRG-Z in den Hintergrund zu schieben und dann mit 'kill Prozess-ID' den Prozess abschießen. oc2pus hatte da auch Links zu, wie das genau geht. Die hab ich leider gerade nicht zur Hand.

I can't stop Smart with CTRL+C! Why?

It's another known bug with [WWW] Psyco: The compiled machine code does not include the regular polling done by Python, meaning that a KeyboardInterrupt will not be detected before execution comes back to the regular Python interpreter. Your program cannot be interrupted if caught into an infinite Psyco-compiled loop. (This could be fixed if requested.).

This means that you can't stop Smart with CTRL+C when it's working with the cache or downloading/installing packages. If you really need to stop it at that point, you can CTRL+Z and kill -15 it. /!\ There's no documented case of odd things happening after that, but do it at your own risk.

On the other hand, if you are running Smart on stepped mode, CTRL+C will work just after a set of packages have been downloaded or installed.

in /var/lib/smart wird immer eine Kopie der Datei config beim Start von smart abgelegt (config.old), manchmal hilft es diese zurückzukopieren.
