Hi,
hab mir heute mal den Kernel 2.6.10 gezogen und installiert.
Und zwar so:
1. kernel Source nach /usr/src entpackt
2. Link Linux auf linux-2.6.10 verwiesen
3. make menuconfig
4. make && make install && make modules_install
5. cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/linux-2.6.10
6. cp System.map /boot/System.map-2.6.10
7. mkinitrd -k vmlinuz-2.6.0.10 -i initrd-2.6.10
8. menu.lst von Grub editiert (Anhang)
Wenn ich jezt meinen alten Kernel booten will bekomme ich sofort nach dem Sart (also da wo normal der Blaue Bildschirm von SuSE erscheint) alles grau. Lasse ich das Bootparameter vga=0x31a weg bekomme ich folgende Meltung:
VFS: Cannot open root device "hdb1" or unknow-block (0,0)
PLease append a correct "root=" boot option
kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknow-block (0,0)
Hier der Eintrag in meine menu.lst von Grub:
title = SuSE 9.0 2.6.10
root (hd1,0)
kernel (hd1,0)/boot/linux-2.6.10
initrd (hd1,0)/boot/initrd-2.6.10
Ich habe auch scon linux-2.6.10 durch vmlinuz-2.6.10 ersezt, das hat aber auch nicht gebracht. Hat jemand eine Idee wie ich es schaffe das der neue kernel bootet?
