Da liegt der Hund begraben, es wird keine Adresse zugewiesen seitens des Routers. Linux wartet, wartet, nix. Ich denke, auch eine statische Adresse wird an diesem Problem nix ändern.
Hast Du eigentlich (wie von mir vorgeschlagen) unter "Rechnername und Nameserver" die Option "Nameserver und Suchliste über DHCP aktualisieren" aktiviert?

Natürlich würde sie das. Dein Client bekommt keine IP per DHCP zugewiesen, warum auch immer. Wenn du nun deine Einträge manuell tätigst, funktioniert es auch. Vorrausgesetzt du trägst auf dem Client nicht die gleiche IP wie auf dem Router ein.

Nameserver und Standartgateway nicht vergessen.

Er bekommt keine Antwort mehr von 192.168.2.1, wenn er die Rechneradresse ändert. Das heißt, die vermeintliche Antwort des Routers war immer die Antwort des eigenen Rechners. Vom Router hat er die ganze Zeit noch keine Antwort bekommen. Und aus dem Internet sowieso nicht.
@jack-o-neill: hast Du denn jetzt "Nameserver und Suchliste über DHCP aktualisieren" aktiviert?

Zeigt der Router an (also mit den Betriebs-LEDs), dass der Rechner dran hängt?

Heisst das, Windows ist auf dem selben Rechner, und Du wechselst zwischen den beiden Betriebssystemen, ohne den Router vorher auszustellen?
Vielleicht rallt der Router das nicht und weigert sich entsprechend, an den Rechner eine neue IP zu vergeben (DHCP hat den parameter

Schau nochmal in das Benutzer-handbuch des Routers, wie er mit der IP-Vergabe umgeht.

Ja ich benutze 1. Rechner, allerdings stecke ich immoment noch die Platten um also wenn ich linux benutzen möchte muss ich im PC den stecker von der einen Platte in die andere stecken. So mach ich das immoment noch. Wäre es möglich wenn ich alle anderen Rechner aus dem Router rauszieh und nur meinen dran mache das das dann klappt? Wie muss der denn dann genau eingestellt sein.

Im Router stecken noch weitere Rechner, und die bekommen alle ihre IPs durch den Router, oder?
Wenn Du jetzt eine feste IP einstellen würdest, die der Router dummerweise schon vergeben hat, dann gibts Murks. Ich bin mir auch gar nicht sicher, ob es möglich wäre, für einige Rechner eine dynamische IP-Vergabe (DHCP), für andere eine statische Adresse zu haben. Zumindest müsste man die statischen Adressen dann am Router für die Vergabe ausschließen.

Ich bin zu wenig Fachmann, um einschätzen zu können, ob es klappen könnte, wenn Du alle anderen Rechner aus dem Router ziehst. Vielleicht kommt es auf einen Versuch an.
Versuche doch mal folgendes:
1. Router aus
2. Alle anderen Rechner rausziehen.
3. Eigenes Netzwerkkabel rein (bzw. drin lassen)
4. Router anstellen und ein paar Minuten warten, währenddessen die Platte auf Linux stöpseln...
5. Linux starten.

Variante B:
Wie a, aber vorher
-DHCP am Router deaktivieren
-am Rechner eine statische Adresse vergeben (Vorschlag: 192.168.2.10)
-als Subnetz (am Rechner) eintragen: 255.255.255.0
-als DNS und default-Gateway die IP vom Router eintragen (192.168.2.1 )
-als DomainName "Workgroup" eingeben

Falls Du Dir das noch nicht durchgelesen hast dann mach das mal. Grundsätzlich mußt Du nur IP-Adresse, DNS und Standardgateway einstellen. Manchmal auch noch die MTU kleinermachen.
