KPowerSave - Fehlercode 1 und 127

Hallo,

ich beschäftige mich seit ca. 2 Wochen intensiv mit LinuxOpenSuse 11.0.

Mein Ziel ist es, einen Daten und Webserver einzurichten.
Nachdem ich nun einige Probleme und Einrichtungen tlw. mit Hilfe von Google gelöst habe, bin ich auf einen Fehler gestoßen, dessen bedeutung ich nicht wirklich verstehe.

Über KPowerSave habe ich versucht, meinen HP Compaq-Rechner (Baujahr 2004) in den Ruhuzustand bzw. StandBy-Modus zu versetzen (Suspend to Disk oder Suspent to Ram).

Leider bricht diese "Routine" (?) leider mit einer Fehlercodemeldung ab.
Bei Suspend to Disk Fehlercode 1
Bei Suspend to Ram Fehlercode 127

Nachdem ich mir dann die Logdatei angeschaut habe, bin ich zwar auf eine Fehlermeldung gestoßen, verstehe aber nicht ganz den Sinn, bzw. eine Lösungsmöglichkeit.

Durch Google konnte ich zumindest erfahren, das man ein Biosupdate durchführen soll, um eventuelle Probleme damit zu beheben.
Das habe ich dann auch getan, jedoch ergibt sich keine Verbesserung des Problem.

Auch das Umstellen von Parametern im Bios hat micr nicht weitergeholfen.

Hallo,

mittlerweile habe ich einige Dinge herrausgefunden.

Für das "Suspend per Disk" habe ich scheinbar die Swap-Partion zu klein gewählt. Dabei war das der Standartwert. Bei einer Arbeitsspeichergröße von 512MByte und einer Swap-Partion von 2GB funktionert dies wunderbar.

Beim "Suspend per RAM" liegt es daran, das mein Computersystem unbekannt ist, somit KPowerSave nicht weiß, welcher Parameter verwendet werden soll.
Über die Konsole mit dem Befehl "s2ram -f" funktioniert dann auch dieses. Die Entwickler bitten bei solchen Fällen darum, eine Mitteilung mit den Systeminformationen mittels "s2ram -i" zu zusenden.

Das alles habe ich übrigens nach einigen Suchen in der Online-Referenz von OpenSuse gefunden.

Wer lesen kann, ist schwer im Vorteil :( :lol: :eek:
