[gelöst] Daumentasten für Firefox unter Gnome

Hallo alle zusammen .
Seit einer Woche bin ich nun stolzer Nutzer eine Suse10.3 Distibution mit Gnome Desktop .
Ich würde nun gerne die Daumentasten der Maus nutzen können (Seite vor/zurück) .
Meine bisherigen Recherchen führten zu imwheel leider läßt sich dieses Teil mit Yast nicht installieren

. Da diese Version von 2004-08-28 22:00 ist , und ich keine neuere gefunden habe , weiß ich nun nicht weiter .
Vieleicht gibt es ja auch andere Möglichkeiten , die Maustasten wie gewünscht zu benutzen .

Die Maus ist eine Tevion MD9470 .
Die Maus funktoniert ja auch , die Daumentasten geben auch Signal ab ,
Im Firefox haben sie die gleich Funktion wie die linke Maustaste , auf dem nackten Desktop aber nicht . Es liegt also nur an irgendwelchen verdammten Zuordnungen , nur weiß ich nicht wie man dies bewerkstelligt :(
Rufe ich unter Yast|Hardware|Mausmodell wählen die SaX2 Konfiguration von X11 auf , funktioniert im Testfeld die Maus . Linke Mittlere Rechte Taste werden beim betätigen grün Rad vor zurück wird mit Pfeil angezeigt . Die Daumentasten , werden mit Text Taste gedrückt , Taste losgelassen , Einzelclick bzw Doppelclick bestätigt .
Als Modell ist USB-Mouse ExplorerPS/2 on USB eingetragen

Das Programm kannte ich noch gar nicht. Das muß ich mal ausprobieren. Vielleicht lässt sich damit ja meiner mx1000 auf einfache Art und Weise zusätzliches Leben einhauchen.

So , nach langer Zeit , habe ich endlich eine Lösung gefunden .
Stein der Erkenntnis war xev (einfach im Terminal aufrufen , es erscheint ein Fenster mit Kasten . Wenn man dort mit der Maus Aktionen ausführt , gibts im Terminal Event-Reports )
Meine Maus produzierte halt beim Drücken der Daumentasten Events mit den TastenNummern 8 und 9 .
Aha !! :idea: meine Maus ist keine 7-Tastenmaus sondern eine 9-Tastenmaus (die Tasten 6 und 7 befinden wohl noch im Werk oder in der Planung :wink: )
Also in der der /etc/X11/XF86Config den Wert für die Buttons von 7 auf 9 geändert
mousemap wird nun folgendermaßen gestartet

und es funktioniert :) :) :)

lauten.Habe ihn unter Gnome im Kontrollzentrum/Sitzungen/Startprogramme eingetragen, und bisher keine Nebenwirkungen festgestellt . :)
