Startprobleme mit KDE

Servus,

bin seit 3 Tagen Linux Suse User und habe bereits ein größeres Problem.

System: x86_64
Ver: 10.2 - 2.6.18.8

Nach dem Booten öffnet sich auf tty7 eine shell (im linken oberen Bereich des Bildschirms) in der ich als normaler User eingeloggt bin, Fehler bekomme ich keinen beim Booten.
Gestern konnte ich noch normal starten, allerdings habe ich gestern einige Pakete installiert, v.a. Programme um Videos zu schneiden + sämtliche Updates die mir Suse vorgeschlagen habt.

Ich habe absolut keine Ahnung wo ich nach dem Fehler suchen muss und ehrlich gesagt mag ich nicht das Linux neu installieren, denn dann wäre es ja auch nicht besser als Windoof.

Ich hoffe auf konstruktive Vorschläge.

Ich versteh gerade nicht ganz, was du da genau vor Augen hast.
Gib mal
startx
ein, wenn das eine Konsole sein sollte.

Mal ganz vom Thema abgesehen würde ich dir als Einsteiger auch eine 32bit-Version empfehlen. Die ist immer noch etwas pflegeleichter als eine 64bit-Installation.

wenn ich als root einsteigen und startx eingebe kommt folgendes:
startx
xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.4443


Fatal server error:

If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.

Wenn das File .X0-lock lösche kommt folgendes

Habe jetzt den Treiber neu installiert und dann mit sax2 -r den Treiber eingebunden, ich bekomme dann auch das Menu um den Monitor einzustellen (Auflösung, Freq., etc..) aber nach einem reboot bekomme ich wieder nur eine Shell auf dem tty7 (weiße Shell), in der ich als User eingeloggt bin.
