Kontact 1.2.3 in KDE 3.5.5 stürzt ab

Hab mir Kontact 3.5.5 gesogen.
Das schmiert beim Klick auf das KMail-Icon in 90% der Fälle ab.
Beim Aufruf von "kontact" das gleiche.

Es lässt sich soweit eingrenzen:

Wenn KMail läuft lässt sich auch Kontact starten.
Wenn KMail nicht läuft schmiert Kontact mit o.a. Fehler ab.
Kontact schmiert auch oft ab wenn man auf den Kalender-Button o.ä. klickt.

Hatte erst die Binarys installiert, jetzt hab ich mir Kontact mal selbst kompiliert und genau der gleiche Ärger.

Ich habe auch Kontact in Version 3.5.5, habe bis jetzt noch keine Fehler entdeckt. Müsste an deiner Installation liegen.

Das gleiche Problem mit identischem Backtrace steht für Kontact 3.5.4 schon im Bugzilla unter http://bugs.kde.org.

Mal schauen was rauskommt.

muss nämlich nicht sein.

Und ich bezweifle ehrlich gesagt, dass Backtraces hier im Forum überhaupt irgendwas bringen, ob nun mit oder ohne Käse - um mit denen was nützliches anstellen zu können, muss man KDE-Entwickler sein, und im Bugzilla erreichst Du garantiert mehr KDE-Entwickler als hier.

(Die meisten Entwickler bevorzugen übrigens Backtraces ohne Käse-Vorwurf.)

Hätt ja sein können, dass andere User gleiche Erfahrungen gemacht haben.
Recht hast du, der Käse war etwas aus der Reihe, ich war bloss etwas angefressen, dass mein heissgeliebtes Kontact nach dem Update von 3.5.4 auf 3.5.5 nicht mehr wollte.
Das Problem trat ja erst nach dem Update auf, vorher liefs, vielleicht hat ein andere User die gleichen Probleme beim Updaten und eine Lösung gefunden.
Im Bugzilla ist das Problem seit langem Offen und Ungelöst.

So, hab mich durch halb Bugzilla gegraben.
Eine Lösung scheint gefunden.

this crash might be caused by a corrupted gui file. Just delete
$HOME/.kde/share/apps/kontact/kontactui.rc
and
$HOME/.kde/share/apps/kmail/kmmainwin.rc

Müsste noch ausgiebiger getestet werden, scheint aber zu funktionieren.
