[gelöst]KDE-startet nicht: Could not start startupconfig

Hallo!

Mein KDE (Suse 10.1) startet nicht mehr.
Beim Start erscheint zuerst die Fehlermeldung
"Could not start kstartupconfig", wenn ich des mit "ok" bestätige, erscheint
"could not start kdeinit".
Danach bin ich wieder im Login-Bildschirm.

Ich hatte zuvor die Ati-3D-Treiber upgedatet (also den alten deinstalliert und dann den neuen installiert), ohne Fehlermeldung.

Mein Root-Login funktioniert komischerweise mit KDE und auch mit 3D-Unterstützung.
Es kann aber kein normaler Nutzer mehr starten.
Alle angelegten Benutzer erhalten die obige Fehlermeldung, auch neu angelegte Nutzer.
Nur root hat keine Probleme.

Woran könnte das liegen?

Was sagen die log's ?
(/var/log/kdm.log oder so in etwa)

Bzw. so die üblichen Maßnahmen ergreifen:
- Löschen von /tmp/kde-<USER>, /tmp/ksocket-<USER>, /tmp/mcop-<USER>
- Löschen von /var/tmp/kdecache-<USER>
- Umbenennen von ~/.kde um die Einstaellungen loszuwerden und "clean"
aufzusetzen

Hallo!
Ich hatte eigentlich an den Rechten nichts geändert.
Halt "nur" den Ati-Treiber installiert.
Ich habe gerade sicherheitshalber chown -R <user>:<group> /home/<user> durchgeführt.
Schreib/Leserechte sind alle ok.

Bzw. so die üblichen Maßnahmen ergreifen:
- Löschen von /tmp/kde-<USER>, /tmp/ksocket-<USER>, /tmp/mcop-<USER>
- Löschen von /var/tmp/kdecache-<USER>
- Umbenennen von ~/.kde um die Einstaellungen loszuwerden und "clean"

Habe alles gelöscht. ein /tmp/mcop gab es bei mir allerdings nicht.


Was sagen die log's ?

Habe mal meine Log-Datei angehängt, die Liste allerdings etwas verkürzt, da dort noch alles ab Mai drin steckte ;)
ICh hatte noch vergessen: Gestern abend kam ein Kernelupdate das ich installierte.
Danach ging der 3D-Treiber nicht mehr, was mich dann erst auf das Update des Ati-Treibers brachte.
Wie gesagt: Komischerweise funktioniert es unter root. Nur die Nutzer machen Probleme :(

Ja, alle Nutzer sind in der Gruppe Video,Users,Dialout.
Das scheint in Yast stardardmäßig eingetragen zu sein, geändert habe ich daran nichts.

Die DRI-Zeilen meiner etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Mir ist aufgefallen das ich eine xorg.conf im /etc/X11 Verzeichniss habe, allerdings noch eine zweite xorg.conf im Verzeichnis /var/lib/sax.
Die letztere Datei hat ein ein älteres Änderungsdatum.
Könnte das eine Rolle spielen?

Hallo. Ich habe exakt dasselbe Problem. Nach einem Kernel-Update und darauffolgender Neuinstallation des ATI-Treibers kommt beim Anmelden als normaler Benutzer:
"Could not start kstartupconfig. Check your installation."
"Could not start kdeinit. Check your installation."

Die Anmeldung als root funktioniert. Auch mein Benutzer ist in der Gruppe video und die DRI-Sektion meiner xorg.conf ist identisch mit der von Bigtux.

Ich habe eine Lösung gefunden!

Gib als root ein:

which kstartupconfig
Der zurückgegebene Pfad (bei mir /opt/kde3/bin) muss in deiner PATH-Variablen stehen. Falls er das nicht tut, füge folgende Zeile in deine /etc/profile ein (ich habe zusätzlich auch den Library-Pfad gesetzt):

export PATH=/opt/kde3/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/kde3/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Das hat geholfen.
Der "which"-Befehl lieferte den selben Pfad wie bei Dir.
Ich habe die zwei Zeilen in die profile eingetragen, es klappt.
Vielen Dank.
Ich nehme an, die Ati-Installation beschädigte die Pfade?

Was hat es denn mit der zweiten xorg.conf im /var/lib/sax-Verzeichnis auf sich?
Müßten die beiden xorg-Dateien (/etc/X11 und /var/lib/sax nicht identisch sein?
