openSUSE Leap Plasma / Plasma Wayland

Hallo miteinander,

ich habe letzte Woche mit meinem Laptop wieder einmal mit "zypper dup" ein Upgrade der neuesten Pakete durchgeführt.
Danach muss ich beim Einloggen feststellen, dass mein gesamter Bildschirm flimmert und Streifen zieht, sodass man fast nichts erkennt. Habe mir zuerst gedacht, dass der Laptop Bildschirm vielleicht kaputt ist.
Habe nun heute beim Einloggen "Plasma Wayland" genommen und komischerweise funktioniert es nun ohne Flimmern.

Wayland ist neuer was ich weiß. Ist es jetzt empfehlenswerten Plasma in Verbindung mit Wayland oder mit X.Server zu benutzen? Die alte Konfiguration funktioniert mittlerweile bei mir nicht mehr. Allerdings müsste ich soweit ich gesehen habe für Wayland die ganze Desktop Konfiguration neu durchführen.

Würde mich über eine Antwort freuen.

Hi,

bei mir mit Tumbleweed funktioniert es mit dem Compositor nicht mehr seit ein paar Tagen. Schwarze Flächen und Streifen ziehen beim Fenster verschieben. Konnte Notdürftig den Compositor abschalten unter Anzeige und Monitor
Seit dem geht es wieder aber es fehlen halt ein paar Effekte. Da kann ich aber vorübergehend mit leben.

Wäre ein Versuch Wert um der Sache auf die Schliche zu kommen. Ich selber hatte es erst einmal nicht mit Wayland ausprobiert da es von vornherein nicht wirklich gut lief. Vielleicht sollte ich das mal machen.

Du könntest aber schon mal für weitere Hilfe die Ausgabe von

sudo lspci
zeigen. Bei mir werkelt noch eine alte AMD-Karte.

Vielen Dank für die Antwort. Bei mir hat es von einem auf den anderen Tag nicht mehr funktioniert. Habe allerdings eine integrierte Intel Lösung.
