Beim Benutzer Wechsel verabschiedet sich das System 11.1

Ich habe folgendes Problem.

Wenn ich z.B in Benutzerprofil "A" arbeiten und dann aus welchen Gründen auch immer ins Benutzer Profil "B" Wechseln will wird der Bildschirm schwarz und nichts tut sich mehr. Kann den Rechner dann nur noch mit Reset zum laufen bewegen.

Ich verwende OpenSuse 11.1 und Gnome 2.24 aus den Original Repos Original Ati Grafikkarten Treiber ist auch drauf sollte das eine Rolle spielen.

Wie kriege ich raus woran das liegt?

Schau mal in die jeweilige ~/.xsession-errors
Ansonsten wäre evtl. noch die /var/log/messages zum Zeitpunkt des "Absturzes" interessant.

Kannst du dich nicht via STRG+ALT+F1 auf einer Konsole anmelden und dann mal die Logs durchschauen?

Wie sieht dein Benutzerwechsel denn aus?

Der Benutzerwechsel geht folgendermaßen vor sich ich gehe auf Computer > Abmelden > Benutzer wechseln Das ist alles danach nur noch ein Schwarzer Bildschirm und der Rechner reagiert nicht mehr.
Also die ~/.xsession-errors finde ich nicht wo soll die sein?
In der var/log/messages steht folgendes.

Der Benutzerwechsel war etwa um 17:28 Uhr

Alles was nach dieser Uhrzeit passiert ist der folgende Bootvorgang.

In deinem Homeverzeichnis ist eine versteckte Datei .xsession-errors (Dateien mit . am Anfang sind "unsichtbar").

In der /var/log/messages hab ich jetzt auf die Schnelle nichts finden können.

Interessant. Habe das gerade mal nachvollzogen: neuen User erstellt, neu angemeldet, dann aus laufender KDE 4.31-Sitzung heraus den User gewechselt. Und tatsächlich, auch hier hängt sich das System so sehr auf, dass nur noch ein Druck auf die Reset-Taste hilft. Weder ~/.xsession-errors noch /var/log/messages geben auf die Schnelle einen Hinweis auf die Ursache. Ich habe zunächst mal kdm in Verdacht und werde jetzt mal ein wenig weiter herumspielen.

Sieht aber auch nicht danach aus als ob man hier einen Hinweis dafür findet.

Ich hatte früher auch kdm verwendet und jetzt auf gdm umgestellt weil das zu gnome gehört. Weis nicht ob es damit zusammenhängen kann.

Wenn ich meinen Benutzer vorher abmelde über Computer > Abmelden > Benutzer Abmelden lande ich ganz Normal in GDM.

Auf jedenfall mal danke das ihr euch das ganze mal angesehen habt.
