Duplicate entries when transfering phone entries to Kontact

Hello, I have a Nokia 6230i phone and it connects alright to my OS 11.1 (after some research!). Now, when I transfer the entries from the phone to the PC I get duplicate entries. Being new to this field: How do I prevent this from happening; i.e., I simply want to add/change NEW or changed entries in the phone on my PC (and, maybe, vice-versa). Regards H.S.

I had the same problem with KDE 3.5.9 "release 49.1" and another Nokia phone. In my opinion the interface software doesn't work well. I gave it up to upload entries from the phone to the PC. In the opposite direction I send small vcf files. Which has the advantage, that you can add additional data like birthday, e-mail address and so on as well.
