[gelöst] Compiz, KDE 4.1.3 und MX4000

Hallo Leute,

das KDE 4 mit Compiz und NVidia MX4000 nicht toll zusammen arbeiten, weiß ich. Ist vielleicht meine Graka der Grund, dass ich Compiz mit Emerald auf meinem Rechner nicht zum Laufen bekomme?

Installiert sind Compiz, Emerald (mit Themen) und Simple CCSM. Aber ich bekomme keinerlei Effekte.

Könnt ihr mir helfen, die einzelnen Schritte durchzugehen, damit ich den Fehler finde? Die vielen Anfragen, Tipps und Infos erschlagen mich.

Welcher Treiber ist denn da installiert.
Hast du dir das schon mal durch gelesen?

Hallo whois,

ja, inzwischen war ich dort (wieder mal) und habe auch einige Dateien gefunden, die ich nicht hatte. Jetzt sind alle nötigen Sachen installiert (sollten sie).

Als Kartentreiber habe ich mich an diesen Link gehalten. Auch alles ... Möglicherweise klappt heute Abend alles, nach dem mein Rechner neu gestartet ist. Jetzt bekommt er erst mal Pause.

OK solltest du weiter Probleme haben melde ich einfach und stell mal bitte diee xorg.conf rein. ;)

Tja, es klappt nicht. Bei Ubuntu ist es üblich, dass der proprietäre Nvidia-Treiber kurz vor dem Desktop sein Logo präsentiert. Das passiert nicht.

Die Xorg.conf? Gut, leider schaffe ich es nicht, eine TXT-Datei anzuhängen:

Folgende Kommandos als root in einer Konsole ausführen:

Code: 
nvidia-xconfig --composite
nvidia-xconfig --allow-glx-with-composite
nvidia-xconfig --render-accel
nvidia-xconfig --add-argb-glx-visuals -d 24
nvidia-xconfig --damage-events

...dann Desktop neustarten und nochmal probieren.
