[Gelöst]Scannen nur als root?

Hallo Zusammen

Heute mußte ich seit langer Zeit wieder mal scannen (Das erste Mal mit SuSE 11). Leider habe ich damit so meine Problemchen: Kooka stürzt mit

ab. "xsane" bringt einen "Speicherzugriffsfehler" und beendet sich. Als "root" kann ich allerdings problemlos mit beiden Programmen scannen. Will ich aber nicht. Mein Scanner ist übrigens ein HP Scanjet 4300C (über USB angeschlossen), den ich vor längerer Zeit "wiedergefunden" habe, nachdem mein "Medion"-Scanner nicht mehr wollte.

Jemand eine Idee, warum das nicht geht?

Dürfte ein Rechteproblem sein.
Bei Brother muss man da auch noch irgendwas umbiegen, damit man als user scannen kann. Kann dir zwar gerade nicht genau sagen, wo es hakt, aber vielleicht hilft das schon als google-Futter weiter.

Leider kann ich mich erst heute wieder melden, da bei mir seit gestern Abend bis gerade eben kein DSL-Signal zur Verfügung stand. :down: :(
hplip ist von packman (mit der anderen Version gab es Konflikte/ungelöste Abhängigkeiten. Den Thread hatte ich noch nicht gefunden, habe aber schon die udev-Regeln geändert:

. => Keine Besserung. Auch das Eintragen eines zusätzlichen Files für den Resourcenmanager und dessen Neustart hat nichts gebracht.
Der (zunächst) letzte Versuch wird ein Eintrag in der fstab sein. Sollte aber nichts ändern, da usbfs seit 10.1 ja nicht mehr verwendet wird. :???:
Nachtrag: Hat, wie erwartet auch keine Änderung gebracht . Dann werd' ich mal weitergoogeln...

Lösche mal in deinem /home/Benutzername Verzeichnis die versteckte
Konfigurationsdatei ".sane", danach neu xsane bzw. kooka starten.

Hm... Hab ich gerade gelöscht. Immer noch derselbe Fehler. Zur Vorsicht habe ich anschließend noch die Dateien kookarc und scannerrc gelöscht. Bringt auch nichts. Nächster Versuch: Neuen Nutzer angelegt. => Gestartet. Bringt die Meldung, daß neue Hardware gefunden wurde (Mein Scanner) und daß diese von root eigerichtet werden muß. Gesagt, getan, Nur: Gleiches Ergebnis. Glücklicherweise brauche ich den Scanner fast nie. Sonst wär das wirklich Mist...

Ich wundere mich eigentlich, wieso da auf lp zugegriffen wird, wenn der Scanner usb ist.

Was steht in der:
/etc/sane.d/dll.conf

Laut dem:
http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-HEWLETT-PACKARD

Läuft der hp4300c mit dem Backend "niash".

Das mit dem lp hat mich auch schon gewundert! :???: Hat das was mit dem HP Device manager zu tun?
Vorsichtshalber hatte ich mich schon mal der Gruppe lp zugefügt, hatte aber auch nichts gebracht. Er zeigt auch an, daß er niash verwendet.

Unglaublich! Das Auskommentieren von leo und smfp hat's gebracht! Nu mag der Scanner! :up:
Warum und weshalb das beides aktiv war weiß ich im Moment nicht, da ich seit der Installation von SuSE11 euigentlich nur diesen Scanner angeschlossen hatte. Vielen Dank erst mal!
Am Parallelport befindet sich noch ein HP Laserjet 4Plus,der sagt im Moment allerdings auch nichts. Dazu mach ich ggf. einen Fred auf. Ich hab ja noch den Samsung und es kann sein, daß mein Sohn den HP mitnimmt, wenn er Weihnachten nach Hause kommt.
Für alle Fälle aber noch dien Ausschnitt aus der modprobe.conf:

umändern und Rechner neu starten, dann wird wahrscheinlich auch mit dem Drucker
klappen.
