[gelöst] TARGA Traveller 1524 X2 mit Suse10.3

Hallo erstmal,

ich habe hier ein Notbook TARGA Traveller 1524 X2 auf dem ursprünglich Vista installiert war.
Jetzt wollte ich Vista runter und Suse10.3 installieren. Die Anfangsinstallation lief soweit(Pakete wurden eingelesen), bis zum ersten Neustart. Danach bleibt der Bildschirm dunkel und null Reaktion vom NB.
Weiß jemand Rat?

Soweit kommt er gar nicht.
Es wird der Bootvorgang gestartet, und wenn er dann auf die HDD zugreift....feierabend...

Es ist immer ein Versuch wert ACPI oder mit APIC herumzuspielen um derartige Fehler in den Griff zu bekommen.

Da du schreibst der Rechner bleibt beim booten stehen wo er versucht auf die Platte zuzugreiffen wuerde ich mal gerne deine /boot/grub/menu.lst sehen. Vl. ist dort nur ein kleiner Fehler in der root (hdx,x) Zeile oder im Kernel-Link bzw. der Angabe der root=/xxx Partition wie auch immer.

Wuerde das mal vergleichen wie es ist u. wie es sein sollte.

Auf jedenfall sehe ich nichts aussergewöhnliches in den von dir gelieferten Ausgaben.
Nur komisch das dies mit anderen Distributionen auch auftritt.

So, Problem gelöst!

Ich weiß zwar nicht wiso, aber die Installation hat irgendwie den MBR nicht korrekt geschrieben.
Habe einfach die Installation neu gestartet und dann "Andere Optionen -> System reparieren" ausgewählt.
Jetzt startet Suse10.3 korrekt.
