Thinkpad T61 und SLED.

Hallo alle zusammen,

habe seit kurzem ein Thinkpad T61, und habe jetzt neu den SLED 10 Sp1 drauf,

leider bekomme ich ums verecken dan wlan nicht zu laufen( es wird nicht einmal erkannt) Ton geht auch nicht und noch so ein Paar sachen.

Bei lspci bekomme ich dann so etwas raus.

Für WLAN bitte einen eigenen Thread im WLAN-Forum eröffnen. Und bitte das dort verlinkte skript ausführen.
Ich vermute allerdings, dass SLED einfach zu alt für den Rechner ist.
Nimm eine aktuellere Distribution. Könnte sogar sein, dass 10.3 nicht alles 100% unterstützt.

Ich habe ein T61p und das funktioniert wunderbar. Du must die Firmware für deine Karte installieren. Das ist eine

Bei archlinux gibt es die über den Paketmanager, ich meine bei suse bekommst du die auch über den yast. such mal nach 4965 bei der Software.
Meine Erfahrung hat gezeigt, das suse für das Thinkpad nicht die richtige Distribution ist, bei arch wärst du da besser aufgehoben.

Kann auch sein, das der Treiber beim SLED nicht dabei ist.

Für SLED gibt es (obwohl der Kernel eigentlich zu alt ist) passende Pakete.

Wenn es allerdings keinen zwingenden Grund für SLED (aka "man hat einen Supportvertrag und bezahlt dementsprechend ordentlich Kohle dafür") gibt, dann sollte man auf etwas Neueres wechseln.

Schön und gut.
Aber auf Grund der sonstigen verbauten Hardware dürfte das nicht das einzige Problem mit dem Gerät und SLED werden.
Ich würde da dringend zu einer aktuellen Distribution raten, bevor ich da den SLED total auf den Kopf stelle.
