Hi,
ich hab suse 10.3 und einen USB stick gekauft doch unter suse krieg ich den nicht ans laufen, auch das durchlesen einger threads halefen da nicht. hier eine kleine auflistung, was ich schon gemacht habe, anmerken möcht ich das ich den stick auch unter windoof verwenden möchte.Bitte um HILFE das ist mir sehr wichtig.

Filesystem krumm.
Stick reklamieren oder mal versuchen, die Partitionen neuanlegen zu lassen. Aber aufpassen, dass da keine für den Stick lebenswichtigen Dateien liegen.

Mh der stick ist nagelneu, mit sprach aufnahme, radio, mp3, und datei ablage. ich komme ja da nicht ran also hätt ich keinen Datenverlust.

Hatte ich die Tage auch bei einem nagelneuen USB-Stick.
Ich hab dann einfach ein
Code: 
mkfs.vfat /dev/PARTITION
als root gemacht.
PARTITION dürfte da vermutlich sdd1 sein.
Aber wie gesagt: Keine Garantie für irgendwas, wenn der Stick danach gar nicht mehr ansprechbar ist!
Schau evtl. mal mit

Hm,schonmal auf die Idee gekommen, daß das damit zusammenhängen könnte daß du einen USB 2.0 Stick an einem USB 1.1 Controller betreiben wilst? Nicht jeder Stick unterstützt noch USB 1.1...
Wie ich drauf omme?Ich lese in den Ausgaben oben immer nur was von einem OHCI USB-Controller und das wäre defintiv USB 1.1 aber nichts von einem EHCI USB Controller,was defitniv uSB 2.0 wäre...und dein Stick sagt ja auch, daß er ein USB 2.0 Stick ist in den Ausgaben oben....

Mein Sharkoon FlexiDrive 2GB hingegen kann mit beidem (nur falls du einen Hint brauchst welcher Stick damit funktionieren wird)...

Die ganzen ellenlangen Ausgaben haben (für mich) Null Aussagekraft. Nur du benutzt einen 2.0 Stick an einem 1.1 Anschluß, das könnte auch zu Problemen führen.
Steck den Stick rein und schau in dmesg, was da noch erkannt wird. Dann halt evtl. noch mal mit mount schauen, wo das Ding nun liegt. Bevor du die Gerätedatei nicht zweifelsfrei identifiziert hast würde ich da gar nichts formatieren.

Okay das mit dem USB 1 stimmt, aber ich bin doch kein Profi ich möchte den stick nur nutzen!
Zur frage ob ich mir sicher bin das sdc der stick ist antwort NEIN

Einfach mal die Ausgabe von

posten dürfte das klären...nicht jeder Stick ist partitioniert,manche haben von Haus aus das gesamte Rawdevice als solches als ein Dateisystem angeegt, manche sind partitioniert...das sieht man nur durch fdisk -l oder die Ausgabe von mount ohne weitere Parameter unter Linux einwandfrei.

Mein Stick ist also hier /dev/sdb1



Bei die sieht das so aus, als wenn auf sdc1 die Datenpartition des Sticks liegen würde, auf sdd dann vermutlich das OS des Sticks. Ich würde also jetzt mal versuchen, damit
