agere Softmodem zum Laufen bringen?

Liebe Leute!

Ich habe hier ein Modem in meinem MSI PR600, das ich gerne zum Laufen bekäme. Leider wird das Kind von SuSE 10.3 nicht als existent erkannt. Laut Aufdruck auf dem Teil handelt es sich um ein "Agere Delphi AM3 D40". Hat da schon jemand Erfahrung mit und kann mir weiterhelfen?

Das Modem ist intern oder extern ?
Kennst du die Schnittstelle ?

Seriell oder USB sollte doch eigentlich als Standard Hayes 56k funktionieren.

Dann müsstest Du nur in yast Netzwerkgeräte -> Modem das device
(z.B. /dev/ttyS0) angeben.

PS: Sorry, ich glaube Du beziehst Dich auf ein Notebook.
Dann ist das wahrscheinlich ein Winmodem, richtig ?
Da sind imho andere devices zuständig.
Weisst Du wie es unter Win... erkannt wird ?

Leider weiß ich das nicht, ich habe da kein Windows drauf. Und ja, es ist ein internes Modem, es läßt sich aber werder per lspci, noch per lsusb oder lspcmcia finden. Ich habe die Karte aber gesehen und angefaßt, sie ist da. Es muß sich wohl um eine Erweiterung des Soundchips (ich8) handeln.

Hm, das scheint alles nicht zu klappen, auch nicht slmodem selbst zu Kompilieren oder den Umweg über ungrab-winmodem zu gehen. Ich lege das hier mal auf Eis, falls noch jemandem etwas einfällt, ich würde mich freuen, ist aber nicht so wichtig. Danke für die Hilfe.
