Hi, kriege das doofe dingen einfach nicht zum laufen.... jemand ne idee?? oder schon hinbekommen?

ein. Evtl. als root.
Und gewöhne dir bitte leserliche Schreibweisen an, wenn du Antworten auf deine Fragen erwarten solltest. So mit Groß/Kleinschreibung und der richtigen Anzahl von Satzzeichen und so.

2. Wenn bei hwinfo --modem wirklich nichts ausgegeben wird, dann ist das Ding sehr wahrscheinlich maximal als Ausgleichsgewicht geeignet, damit der Lappi eine gute Balance hat.

Ich tippe auf ein Agere WinModem.
Da schaut die Unterstützung aber sehr Mau aus.
Gibt es für Suse ltmodem als Paket?

Man kann auch u. U. mit diesem Kernelmodul Erfolg haben:
smartlink-softmodem-kmp-default

Es gibt wohl ein paar Agere, die mit den smartlink-Treibern funktionieren.
