[Gelöst] Suse 10.2: Synaptics-Touchpad geht nicht mehr nach

Hallo zusammen!

System: Acer Aspire 5102 WLMi, ATI X1100, Synaptics Touchpad, Suse 10.2

Problem: Hab seit 4 Wochen Suse 10.2 am Laufen. Installation lief problemlos, Touchpad funktioniert einwandfrei. Auch die Installation des ATI-Treibers verlief ohne Probleme. Vor dessen Installation hab ich natuerlich meine xorg.conf gesichert. Nach der Installation hab ich mich dann gefreut wie ein Schnitzel, dass bei mir alles so reibungslos lief. Bis ich dann mal drei Tage spaeter mein Notebook (Desktop-Ersatz) von seinem Schreibtisch entfernt hab und feststellen musste, dass das Touchpad nicht mehr funktioniert. USB-Maus funktionert hingegen tadellos. Also die alte xorg.conf mit der vom ATI-Treiber überschriebenen verglichen und die alten Eintraege (als das Touchpad noch funktionierte) wieder reingeschrieben. Trotzdem macht es keinen Mucks. Weder ksynaptics installieren noch die x11-synaptics-Treiber rausschmeissen und wieder installieren brachte einen Erfolg. Jetzt bin ich ziemlich ratlos. Kann mir bitte jemand helfen?
Aus meiner Windows-Zeit weiss ich noch, dass man unter Windows Hardware aus dem Geraetemanager werfen kann und beim naechsten Neustart wird sie dann erkannt und verlangt nach einem Treiber. Aber so etwas geht unter Linux doch nicht, oder?

Mein Problem hat sich zufaellig von selbst erledigt. Hab mich vertippt und bin auf Fn+F7 gekommen und dabei herausgefunden, dass dieses Notebook eine Taste hat, mit der man das Touchpad deaktivieren kann. Das bleibt dann auch deaktiviert. Jetzt weiss ich's und hab's wieder aktiviert.
