Serieller Port / Via CN700

Hallo,
ich hab mir ein Mini-ITX-Board (Jetway J7F4K1G2) gekauft um meine Photovoltaik-Anlage zu überwachen. Die Verbindung geht über die RS-232.
Leider funktioniert aber meine RS-232 Schnittstelle nicht. Auf dem System läuft Suse 10.2 - ich hab minicom (äquivalentes zu Hyperterminal) installiert - einen loopback connector am Seriellen Port angeschlossen (rxd <-> txd) - aber es kommt nichts zurück. An meinem Hauptdesktop (Suse 10.1) funktioniert es.
Hat jemand ne Idee was ich probieren kann damit es läuft?
