netzwerkkarte ausgetauscht - keine Verbindung

hallo auf meinem rechner mit ubuntu-server 6.06.1 habe ich eine neue netzwerkkarte eingebaut. nun habe ich nach dem hochfahren kein lan/internet mehr.
ist das eine arg große operation das nun ubuntu-server beizupuhlen das eine neue netzwerkkarte drin steckt ?

wisst ihr ob es da ein gutes HOWTO zu gibt ?

Ich benutze kein Ubuntu, daher weiss ich nicht ob es zum konfigurieren der Netzwerkkarte ein grafisches Tool gibt, du kannst sie aber auf jeden fall mit "ifup" bzw. "ifconfig" einrichten.

du überflutest einen ja mit infos.
