Externe USB Festplatte unter OS 10.2 hägt sich auf

Hallo Forum,
meine Externe USB Festplatte wird unter OS erkannt .
Beim Daten übertragen von der externe USB Festplatte zur home partition
hängt sich die Festplatte auf und die Daten Übertragung friert ein. Die Festplatte ist zur Hälfte Windows und Linux formatiert.
Vielleicht hat mir jemand einen Tipp.
