USB Maus & Serial Adapter (VSCOM) unter SuSE 10.0 Proble

Liebe Forumsleser,

ich versuche seit 2 Tagen USB Support für einen USB-> Serial Adapter von der Firma VS-Com hinzubekommen.
Leider ohne Erfolg.

Das Gerät funktioniert und lief unter SuSE 9.x einwandfrei.
Als ich es damals einsteckte gab es in der /var/log/messages ein paar Zeilen dazu und es funktionierte.

Unter SuSE 10.0 tut sich mit dem gleichen Rechner nix...
(Ich habe SuSE 10 drauf und heute online update gefahren).

Ich habe hier einige Befehle mit ausgaben zusammengestellt in der Hoffnung das mir jemand helfen kann.

Ich habe z.B.

eingegeben doch dort kommt keine Ausgabe, egal ob ich das serielle Teil oder eine Microsoft USB Maus einstecke.
Vielleicht ist der USB Support gar nicht gegeben.
Ich habe vor dem udevmonitor --env auch
alle 4 modprobes ausgeführt

der vollständigkeithalber wollte ich bekanntgeben woran es gelegen hat:
Das Motherboard hat 2 USB Bereiche einen für USB 1.1
und einen für USB 2.0.
Ich war die ganze Zeit an dem 2.0 und USB 2.0 wurde von dem serial Adapter nicht unterstüzt.
Einfach umgesteckt auf den 1.1er und alles in Butter
