Medion MD 5345 und Suse 10.0

Hallo,

Ich habe folgendes: SuSe 10, Medion MD 5345, letzte SANE von Packman.

Ich habe Probleme mit dem Scanner und weiss nicht wie ich weiter machen muss:

YAST, Hardware, Scanner, Medion MD 5345: "aktivierung von Genesys ist nicht gelungen"

Laut SANE sollte das doch machbar sein:

Diese dateien von der Sane-genesys seite befinden sich anderswo als ich erwartete: so fand ich genesys.conf in /etc/sane.d

In dll.conf finde ich "genesys" nirgendwo, aber in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf.rpmnew: sehe ich "genesys" stehen :

PROBLEM GELOEST!

Eine neue Datei: "dll.conf.rpmnew " muss die datei "dll.conf" ersetzen, aber das muss man selber machen durch umbenennen, danach klappte es!

Weiss jemand wie diese Datei dll.conf.rpmnew entstanden ist?

Die rpmnew-Dateien entstehen, wenn neue rpm-Pakete eingespielt werden, aber bereits eine Konfiguration angelegt worden ist. Diese Einstellungen werden dann nicht überschrieben und die voreingestellten Konfigs werden in .rpmnew abgespeichert.

Das muss denn die neue Version von SANE von Packman gewesen sein. Merkwuerdig: es haette doch mit SANE das von Suse mitgeliefert wird klappen sollen......

Hatte eben genau das gleich Problem mit dem gleichen Scanner und der gleichen Distro. Habe das Packman-Paket eingespielt, weil SUSEs Sane meinen Scanner gar nicht in der LIste führte...
