9.1/64 mountet USB-Stick nicht

Hallo Zusammen!

Mein neues SuSE erkennt meinen Usb-Stick nicht. Unter 9.0 und unter Windows funktioniert es - mit derselben 64-Bit Hardware!

Genaugenommen wird der Stick wohl erkannt (laut "usbview" !), aber er wird scheinbar nicht gemountet. In "etc/fstab" ist kein entsprechender Eintrag, was aber m.W. so o.K. ist.

Interessant scheint mir dabei folgendes :

Hat einer eine Idee, was das bedeutet ,und wie ich das Problem in den Griff bekommen kann?

Ich würede zu einem Verzicht auf submount raten. Vor allem, da der Stick und seine Partition offensichtlich korrekt erkannt und auf das Device /dev/sdb1 gelegt wurde. Alles was an Fehlern auftaucht ist submount spezifisch. Zumindest wenn die 'Flash Disk' deinem Stick entspricht:

Daher sollte es möglich sein /dev/sdb1 'klassisch' zu mounten.

Wie man auf submount verzichtet steht in der SuSE-SDB oder in einem der vielen Beiträge hier im Forum. Es ist möglich submount nur für Hotplug-Geräte abzuschalten, CD und Floppy können weiterhin über submount laufen.

Bei mir steht folgendes:
/dev/sdb /media/sdb auto noauto,rw,users,umask=0002,exec 0 0
Und wenn ich dann "mount /media/sdb" eingebe kommt
"mount: Der Dateisystemtyp konnte nicht festgestellt werden
und es wurde keiner angegeben"

Dort steht, wie mann subfs für Hotplug-Geräte inaktiviert!

Dein fstab Eintrag hat den folgenden Fehler: du musst eine Partition angeben! Die Angabe des Device allein reicht nicht aus. Also mach aus /dev/sdb ein /dev/sdb1 Natürlich muss der Mountpoint nicht umbenannt werden, Hauptsache er existiert.

Klar, denn sonst hättest du mit 'mount /media/sda1' ausser einer Fehlermeldung nix erreicht
