Mysteriöses Verhalten von CUPS

Hallo Leute,
ich verwende:

SuSE Linux 9.1 (Downloadversion)
Version: 2.6.4-52-smp
Architektur: i686
Drucker (USB): Kyocera-Mita FS1010

Zu meinem Problem:
Es ist total witzig. Als ich den Drucker zum ersten Mal installiert habe (über YAST2) funktionierte alles wunderbar. Auch dann noch, als ich zwischen einigen Nutzern "hin und hergesprungen" bin konnte ich noch tadellos drucken. Das ganze Problem fing an, als ich einen Neustart machte. Beim Neustart wurde CUPS offensichtlich nicht mehr mitgestartet, denn als ich ein Dokument öffnen und dann drucken wollte, kam eine Fehlermeldung, die besagte, dass auf Grund eines Problems mit CUPS keine Verbindung zum Drucker hergestellt werden kann.

Noch lustiger ist, dass wenn ich in YAST2 nochmals den Drucker einrichte, alles bis zum nächsten Neustart wieder spitze funzt. Da ich schon total am Verzweifeln bin, und nicht jeden Tag 2x das CUPS initialisieren will (dauert bei mir 5 Minuten, statt 2, die maximal dabeistehen), hoffe ich, dass Ihr mir helfen könnt.

schau mal unter Administration>>Yast2-Module>>System>>Runlevel-Editor nach ob Cups dort bei 'Runlevel-Eigenschaften' mit 'Aktiv' 'ja' eingetragen ist und bei welchen Runleveln. Im Zweifelsfalle anpassen!

ja, dort ist ja eingetragen... hmmm....ich bin total ratlos...

edit:
die genaue Fehlermeldung ist dann nach dem reboot:
"Fehler beim initialisieren von CUPS"

Hier das Fehlerlog... ich kann absolut nichts damit anfangen, kann mir das bitte jemand "ausdeutschen"? ;)

der Fehler tritt auf, nachdem ich zb. eine Anwendung (wie zB. OpenOffice.Org) geöffnet habe, und ein Dokument drucken will.

hmmm....

kann es denn sein, dass eventuell meine USB-Anschlüsse nicht (richtig) erkannt werden?

Egal was (bzw. wo) ich anstecke, nichts wird so richtig erkannt. Im SuSE hot-plugger werden die usb-anschlüsse zwar gezeigt, aber gemountet wird so wie es aussieht nichts ...

ohje... ich wollte linux echt als alternative einsetzen, aber unter diesen voraussetzungen bin ich offensichtlich wieder gezwungen umzustellen *snief*

noch letzte ideen?
