Bumblebee does not work on OS Leap 42.3 UEFI (CLOSED)

Ich bin langsam frustiert…
a. Bei nouveau-- kommt:
[XORG] (EE) /dev/dri/card0: failed to set DRM interface version 1.4: Permission denied
b. Bei Nvidia – kommt:
error of failed request: badvalue (integer parameter out of range for operation) major opcode of failed request: 154 (glx) minor opcode of failed request: 24 (x_glxcreatenewcontext) value in failed request: 0x0 serial number of failed request: 22 current serial number in output stream: 23

    Code:
    # systemctl enable bumblebeed
    und
    Code:
    # systemctl enable dkms
    aktiviert?
  • Hast Du die "initrd"-Datei mit
    Code:
    # dracut -f
    neu erzeugt?

Viele Grüße

Ja, sorry für die verspätetet Antwort.
In der Mittlerweile, habe ich Mint 18.3 installiert.
... hier mein Eintrag bei anderen Forums...
After almost more than 10 years installing, testing and working with SuSE I am definitely not unhappy, but tired. Tired to adjust the system all the time for my wishes and necessities. Sometimes with more problems sometimes less but never without some corner where OpenSUSE is not user-friendly. Yes, I am a simple user ...looking to have the simple good things as multimedia, office, internet, and here and there some games, nothing more.
In the last version of OS LEAP 42.3 the problems were too big to start again a loop through forums and indications how to solve and even accept some changes where, … yes !, I will not understand if they are necessary because as a user I do not see the benefit.
1. Why now, in the same machine where I installed all the last 3 Opensuse Versions, I need to enable the Bios to UEFI to install the system?, otherwise the system install it but the system is not bootable...????
2. Why under the above installation conditions ... OS LEAP 42.3 create in the Boot options of the BIOS one bootable media with the name “openSUSE-Secureboot” without asking me….! ?
3. Why the Opensuse never ever detect my second Nvidia Grafik card and offer me the drivers and recommend me one ! ?…. MINT 18.3 does !!!!!!
4. Why the installation of Bumblebee, following the opensuse indications does not work now if in the pass did it….. !? This annoying !
I have no interest in the answer to these questions now. Because, besides the above, I am tired also to look for applications wish never are updated to the last versions, installing additionally suspicious repositories to get them…. tired to install KDE and realize that even the good things, there are also some hurdles like PIM, problems like dark themes for GTK and fonts, among others.
So, …
I deleted the bootable entrance "opensuse-secureboot" in my BIOS.
I disabled UEFI.
I install linux Mint 18.3 in less than 30 min. (Nvidia Grafic card was recognized and the system recommend a proper driver which I installed)
All is working as I will with a proper investment of time and fun.

I werde weiter OS Leap schauen aber in my test Machine... !
LG

Hallo Juan_Lutz,

  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card
  • LG 3840x2160 IPS-display

Code:
# zypper ar -e -f -p 98 -n "Bumblebee" http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Bumblebee/openSUSE_Leap_42.3/X11:Bumblebee.repo
# zypper in bumblebee VirtualGL-devel dkms
# echo "blacklist nouveau" >>/etc/modprobe.d/50-blacklist.conf
# usermod -a -G bumblebee,video LOGIN-NAME-DES-BENUTZERS
# systemctl enable bumblebeed
# systemctl enable dkms
# dracut -f
# init 6
