ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad out of sync

hallo.
ich habe vor kurzem ein günstiges notebook erworben, opensue 12.3 installiert. alles super bis auf das das touchpad nicht richtig funkioniert.
beim bedienen des touchpads bewegt sich der zeiger stockend und sprunghaft.
beim start von synaptiks bekomme ich die meldung das kein touchpad gefunden wurde.
das pad funktionierte schon bei der installation nicht und auch nicht beim login.

xf86-input-synaptics de- und neu installiert....x11-input-mtrack und mtdev installiert ohne wirkung.

in messages bekomme ich ständig und wiederholt diese meldungen

ich bekam den tipp im archlinux wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics#Touchpad_synchronization_issues nachzulesen.
gesagt getan und options psmouse proto=imps in die 99-local eingetragen. leider keine veränderung festzustellen.

ich bin auch diesem hier gefolgt https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=53355, habe auf grub umgestellt und die verschiedenen boot options durchgegangen doch die lost sync meldung bleibt und das pad wird nicht von synaptiics erkannt.

als letztes habe ich noch dieses patch ausprobiert http://www.ouam.fr/~madko/ubuntu/elantech/ was sich unter suse nicht installiieren lassen wolltte.
unter ubuntu 13.4 lies es sich installiern allerdings hat es auch nichts verändert.

ich hoffe irgendwer hat eine idee dazu. google gibt sehr viel her zu dem problem. nur keine lösung.
