SUSE 11.4 Maus schläft unregelmäßig ein

Board: Asus
CPU: AMD Athlon
OS: openSUSE 11.4

Fehlerverhalten:
Nach dem Systemstart kann ich mit der Maus 1 problemlos arbeiten.
Gelegentlich, nach einer unbestimmten Zeit, friert der Mauszeiger ein.
Die LED der Maus bleibt aber an, und reagiert auf Bewegung.
Wenn ich eine zweite z.B. Logitech Maus an einem anderen USB Port anschließe dann Funktioniert es wieder.
Es kann aber passieren das diese auch einfriert.
Und dann kann ich die Maus abstecken und wieder einstecken, aber der Mauszeiger bleibt eingefroren.
Wenn ich das System dann über Tastaturbefehle herunterfahre dann dauert das Herunterfahren sehr lange.
Dabei wird nur die KDE heruntergefahren. Das System muß dann per Ausschalter beendet werden.
Eine Suche in den verschiedenen Foren war nicht wirklich hilfreich.

Die Hardware ist dabei definitiv OK.
Es ist ein Multiboot System, und unter Windows hat es noch nie einen solches Problem gegeben.

Hat jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte ?

Auf die schnelle (muss nämlich mal so langsam ins Bett) gebe ich Dir den dringenden Rat, Dein System nicht mit dem Ausschaltknopf abzuknipsen, dass ist nämlich für die Festplatten alles andere als gesund, unter Umständen leidet auch Dein Dateisystem. Nachdem KDE beendet ist, erscheint vermutlich eine Anmeldeaufforderung auf der Kommandozeile. Melde Dich als root an und


Das von Dir beschriebene Verhalten könnte auch auf einen Fehler mit der Grafikkarte oder sogar auf eine sterbende Festplatte hinweisen. Ich würde an Deiner Stelle mal ein paar logfile (~/.xsession-errors, var/log/messages etc. ) durchforsten.

war da nicht mal irgendetwas mit einer (verunglückten) Kernelfunktion, dass bei Mäusen eine Stromsparfunktion die Schnittstelle nach ein paar Minuten deaktiviert hatte? Ich hatte dieses Problem auch und fand dann entweder hier oder im Linux-Forum ein Script, mit dem das beseitigt werden konnte.
Ist zwar alles schon ein Weilchen her und längst gefixt, aber ... .

Noch was: Wenn ACPI-Ereignisse richtig ausgewertet werden und runter-fahren auf den Power-Knopf (nicht "Reset") im Power-Management
gelegt ist , kann man durchaus den Rechner damit runter-fahren.

Also die HDD´s sind definitiv OK.
Auf dem Power-Knopf ist Runterfahren konfiguriert, was auch meistens funktioniert.
Wenn auch nach dem Fehlerfall das meist deutlich länger dauert.
Die GraKa ist eine OnBoard Grafik Nvidia GeForce 8300

Das beschrieben Problem tritt sehr unregelmäßig auf.
Manchmal kann ich stundenlang Arbeiten ohne das ein Fehler auftritt,
manchmal schon nach 5 min.

In xsession-errors als auch in var/log/messages kann ich nichts finden was auf das Problem hinweist.

Werde das in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638085 beschriebene Vorgehen testen.
Vielleicht hilt es ja.

Nach dem Auftreten des Fehlers habe ich eine Logitech Mouse eingesteckt um das System herunterfahren zu können.
