Hallo!
Bin gerade dabei auf openSUSE 11.2 (32 Bit) umzusteigen. Was auch immer ich anstelle meinen Epson Perfection 4490 Photo bekomme ich nicht zum Laufen. Was irgendwo unverständlich ist weil das Teil unter openSUSE 11 prima funktioniert. Da habe ich den Scanner angesteckt es kam ein Dialog der mich Schritt für Schritt durch die Installation führte und im Ergebnis funktionierte der Scanner. Bei openSUSE 11.2 kam da gar nichts, was in meinen Augen kein Fortschritt ist.
Mit dem Yast Modul Scanner wird das Gerät schon mal gelistet aber als nicht konfiguriert und epkowa (Kein Scanner von diesem Treiber erkannt). Die nötigen (x)sane und iscan Pakete sind installiert. Mit dem propitären Vuescan funktioniert der Scanner, das bevorzugte xsane meldet nur keine Geräte erreichbar.
