Efax Fragen wegen Modem Elsa 56K?

Ich habe vergeblich versucht mit dem Hylafax eine Fax verbindung hin zu bekommen. Ich hatte aber keinen Erfolg. Nun habe ich efax installiert und laut einer Anleitung von der Seite http://www.linuxfocus.org/Deutsch/July2002/article249.shtml bis

zum Efax und fax -- Im Einzelbetrieb
abgeändert. Nun möchte ich fragen, ob wer näher dazu Bescheid weiß über das Einstellen und Kunfigurieren meines Elsa 56K Modems?

Mit efax habe ich überhaupt noch nichts zu tun gehabt.
Vielleicht bringt dich das etwas weiter Elsa.
Über Elsa gibt es einige Anleitungen.

Könntest du mir sonst vielleicht doch mit Hylafax weiterhelfen? Denn die Konfiguration habe ich schon einmal durchgemacht im Terminal. BITTE! Ich brauche das Fax zum versenden von Dokumente wie einer Kündigung usw.

Das kann vieles sein .

Hast du einen Firewall, wenn ja sperrt der den Port?
Darf der User überhaupt faxen, ist er in der Gruppe drin?
Hängst du an einer TK Anlage?
Hast du die richtige Vorwahlnummer?
Kannst du den localhost pingen?

Mal mit `netstat -alntp` und lsof mal nach Port 4459 Ausschau halten?

Sonst mal mit Capisuite probiert?

Zur Firewall: Ich habe keine extra installiert, weil ich mein Internet mittles Router nütze.
Unter Erlaubte Dienste steht: EXTERNE ZONE
Unter erlaubender Dienst steht: DHCP-Client
Sonst steht kein Programm drinnen.
Zur Gruppe: Wo müsste ich mich als user eintragen, dass ich faxen darf?
Zur TK Anlage: Das Fax-Modem hängt direkt an der Telefondose dran.

Das Thema ist zu anstrengend um Haarklein zu erklären und mir fehlt definitiv die Zeit dazu.

Hallo! ich bin als User in der dialnow Gruppe eingetragen und lese mir die Links durch. Vielleicht komme ich ja selber drauf, was nicht stimmt. Ist mein Elsa Microlink 56k Fun auch in diesem Link enthalten, weil auf der Seite http://www.hylafax.org/modems.html ist nur das ELSA Microlink 56k Pro enthalten. Ist es das gleiche Modem?
Trotzdem ein herzliches Dankeschön für die Hilfe bisher, und tut mir sehr leid, wenn ich deine Nerven zu sehr in Mitleidenschaft genommen habe!!

Hallo whois! Ich habe allerhand rum probiert und habe nach langem Probieren meinen localhost zum Laufen gebracht, indem ich nach einer Konfigurationsdatei von meinem ELSA 56 K Fun Modem gesucht habe. Sie heißt "elsa-microlink-56k-basic-2.0". Diese habe ich mit der Datei config.ttyS0 unter /var/spool/fax/etc so abgeändert, dass der Inhalt gleich lautet wie die elsa-microlink-56k-basic-2.0 Datei. Unter hosts.hfaxd habe ich den "localhost 127.0.0.1" eingetragen. Dann habe ich im Terminal

ln -s /dev/ttys0 modem
eingeben, um meinem Modem die Konfiguration der config.ttyS0 zuzuweisen.
Danach noch im Terminal

minicom -s
ausgeführt und unter "serial port setup" mit "E" die "Bbs/Par/Bits" auf 115200 gestellt und "I" [Enter] und der Eingabe von "A" die "Serial Device" : /dev/modem auf /dev/ttyS0 geändert
Danach noch mit "Save setup as dfl" gespeichert und mit "Exit from Minicom" das Minicom programm verlassen.
Danach habe ich noch mit

/etc/init.d/hylafax start
den Hylafax Server gestartet und mit

/etc/init.d/hylafax stop
probiert, ob er sich auch schließen lässt.(Starting service HylaFAX done).
Doch wenn ich den Befehl

eingebe erhalte ich diese Ausgabe

. Leider erhalte ich keine Meldung vom Modem (wie in eienm Tread beschrieben [Modem ttyS0 (+44.12.345.67.89): Running and idle]). Wieso nicht?
