Permaneter Systemstillstand nach ca. 5 Minuten durch (vermutl.) defekte Hardware - aber welche ???
Mein 4 Monate alter Rechner macht seit Anfang an nur Probleme. Ich habe SuSE 10.3 installiert und nach dem Booten kann ich ca. 5 Minuten arbeiten, danach geht gar nichts mehr. Er erkennt nichts mehr auf der Platte, kann auch nichts schreiben. Ein Login als root ist nicht möglich, springt nach Eingabe des Benutzernamens root sofort wieder auf Login zurück.
Ein shutdown (STRG-ALT-ENTF) ist ebenfalls nicht möglich. Es hilft nur noch Ausschalten. Danach erkennt er oft im BIOS noch nicht mal mehr die Platte (insert proper boot medium). Wenn man den Rechner eine Weile (oder über Nacht) "abkühlen" läßt, bootet er wieder sofort. Manchmal ist er auch gut drauf und hält wochenlang ohne Fehler durch.
Die Festplatte wurde vom Verkäufer bereits getauscht (Garantieleistung). Danach habe ich Linux neu installiert und es lief 3 Wochen ohne Fehler. Nun taucht der Fehler hartnäckig wieder auf. Eine erneute komplette Neuinstallation hat nichts gebracht.
Ich bin nun nicht der Harware Profi, so dass ich die Meldungen in /var/log/messages interpretieren könnte. Deswegen wende ich mich an dieses Forum. Vielleicht hat ja jemand eine Idee, wo es haken könnte. Der Verkäufer weiß nun auch keinen Rat und lässt mich ziemlich im Regen stehen. Deswegen wäre ein Tip von dieser Seite bestimmt sehr hilfreich, da man heutzutage ja jedem "Fachmann" sagen muß, was er zu tun hat. Vielen Dank

Mein 4 Monate alter Rechner macht seit Anfang an nur Probleme. Ich habe SuSE 10.3 installiert und nach dem Booten kann ich ca. 5 Minuten arbeiten, danach geht gar nichts mehr. Er erkennt nichts mehr auf der Platte, kann auch nichts schreiben. Ein Login als root ist nicht möglich, springt nach Eingabe des Benutzernamens root sofort wieder auf Login zurück.
Ein shutdown (STRG-ALT-ENTF) ist ebenfalls nicht möglich. Es hilft nur noch Ausschalten. Danach erkennt er oft im BIOS noch nicht mal mehr die Platte (insert proper boot medium). Wenn man den Rechner eine Weile (oder über Nacht) "abkühlen" läßt, bootet er wieder sofort. Manchmal ist er auch gut drauf und hält wochenlang ohne Fehler durch.
Die Festplatte wurde vom Verkäufer bereits getauscht (Garantieleistung). Danach habe ich Linux neu installiert und es lief 3 Wochen ohne Fehler. Nun taucht der Fehler hartnäckig wieder auf. Eine erneute komplette Neuinstallation hat nichts gebracht.
Ich bin nun nicht der Harware Profi, so dass ich die Meldungen in /var/log/messages interpretieren könnte. Deswegen wende ich mich an dieses Forum. Vielleicht hat ja jemand eine Idee, wo es haken könnte. Der Verkäufer weiß nun auch keinen Rat und lässt mich ziemlich im Regen stehen. Deswegen wäre ein Tip von dieser Seite bestimmt sehr hilfreich, da man heutzutage ja jedem "Fachmann" sagen muß, was er zu tun hat. Vielen Dank
