rsnapshot Konfiguration

Hallo,
ich wollte einige Daten auf eine externe Festplatte sichern (WD My Book), die ich per Firewire angeschlossen und eine Partition mit ext3 dafür formatiert habe.
In der rsnapshot.config habe ich dann entsprechende Veränderungen vorgenommen und der Befehl "rsnapshot configtest" ergibt "Syntax OK".
Der anschließende Befehl "rsnapshot hourly" erstellt den Ordner /Backup, aber dieser ist leer.
In der Datei /var/log/rsnapshot erscheint die Meldung "/usr/bin/rsnapshot hourly: completed successfully".
Vielleicht kann sich jemand mal meine rsnapshot.config ansehen, ob sich da ein Fehler eingeschlichen hat oder einen Tipp geben, woran es noch liegen kann.

also ich bin jetzt nicht der ausgewiesene Experte für rsnapshot, benutze es aber auch seit geraumer Zeit. An Deiner Config fallen mir spontan folgende Stellen auf:

snapshot_root /media/My Book Linux/Backup/
Hier solltest Du am besten einen Pfad ohne Leerzeichen verwenden, denke ich. Alternativ kann man die Blanks wahrscheinlich auch entsprechend escapen (/media/My\ Book\ Linux/Backup/).

backup /usr/local/ localhost/
Du sicherst zur Zeit nur das Verzeichnis /usr/local. Hast Du mal nachgesehen, was da drin ist? Bzw. bist Du Dir sicher, daß Du nicht stattdessen eigentlich die Daten aus Deinem Home-Directory und/oder die Config-Dateien in /etc sichern willst?

Bei mir sieht das z.B. so aus:

Hallo gameboy,
danke für die erste Reaktion.
Ich habe nach Deinen Empfehlungen das Zielverzeichnis verändert. Danach erstellt es ein neues /media/~/Backup/ - Verzeichnis, aber auch dieses ist leer.
Das /usr/local/ - Verzeichnis hatte ich nur zur Probe eingestellt, da es nicht so viele Daten enthielt und ich dadurch die Versuche schneller starten konnte. Wenn alles läuft, sollen schon auch andere Daten gesichert werden.
Jetzt habe ich versucht /home/~/Documents/ zu sichern, aber nach wie vor das gleiche Ergebnis.
