(gelöst) Nach auto-update läuft vmware nicht mehr

Nun habe ich versucht, vmware-config.pl nochmals laufen zu lassen.
Dann erhalte ich die folgende Meldung:

Ich benutze Suse 10.2 un VMware 5.5.3

Wie immer: erstmal any any Patch testen.

Wenn es nicht geht, weitere Infos posten. Z. B. die Ausgabe von "rpm -qa | grep kernel".

Bei Code, rpm -qa|grep kernel

Leider sagt mir das gar nichts.

den any.any Patch habe ich runtergeladen. Wenn ich aber runme.pl laufen lassen will
passiert gar nichts
Wohin muss ich den Patch entpacken?

Da passiert auch nichts außer dass im Hintergrund gepatcht wird. Danach musst du nochmal "vmware-config.pl" starten.

Ist der Thread wirklich gelöst? Deine Frage klingt anders.

Ja, Stefan, das Problem hat sich nach einigem Probieren und Versuchen selbst gelöst. Ich weiss nicht genau warum, aber vielleicht liegt es daran, dass ich vmware-config.pl nicht als user und mit su gestartet habe, sondern mich als root angemeldet habe und dann vmware-config.pl lauffen liess.

Auf jeden Fall funktioniert alles bestens.
