twinview am client - ltsp 4.1

Hallo,

mein Server/Clients laufen noch mit 4.1. Im Wohnzimmer möchte ich neben einem 15" TFT (1024x786) einen LCD-Fernseher (40", 1366x786) betreiben. Beide würden über VGA laufen. Zum Testen, ob das so funktioniert wie ich mir das vorstelle, würde ich eine DualHead-Matrox-Karte nehmen. Später dann eine Nvidia Geforce 5200 (habe ich noch nicht).

1. Hat von euch schon jemand erfolgreich "twinview" an einem ltsp 4.1 client betrieben oder ist die Idee generell nicht möglich?
2. klappt das mit der Matrox, oder brauche ich zwingend eine nvidia (mit den zusätzlichen Treibern)?
3. wenn die Karte DVI + vga Ausgänge hat, klappt das dann mit einem Adapter ohne Probleme, z.B. bei der Konfig?
4. Kann jemand eine Muster-Config posten 8) ?

Keiner da mit TwinView-Erfahrung? Bin mit viel suchen über einen LTSP-Thread gestolpert, in dem TwinView im Nebensatz erwähnt wird. Stehen die Chancen gut oder eher schlecht?

Ich nutze Twinview mit zwei gleichen Monitoren an einer NVIDIA-Karte. Dazu habe ich mir eine xorg.conf mit Knoppix erstellt und diese in der lts.conf eingebunden. Wie und ob das mit einem Fernseher funktioniert, keine Ahnung.

könntest Du die xorg.conf mal posten? Zumindest der twinview-Bereich wäre klasse. Welche ltsp-version nimmst Du?

Bittesehr. Natürlich muß der NVIDIA-Treiber im LTSp bekannt sein. Ich nutze LTSP 4.2 und den fertig gebauten NVIDIA-Treiber von hier: http://dipe.de/tipps/ltsp_nvidia
Ich meine aber auch im das Ganze schon unter LTSP 4.1 am Laufen gehabt zu haben, kann das aber nicht mehr nachprüfen. Ein Blick ins LTSP-Wiki wäre sicherlich auch hilfreich: wiki.ltsp.org
