Win4Lin Installation macht Fehler...

Hi Folks,

ich versuche, Win4Lin Demoversion auf meinem Rechner zum laufen zu bringen. Doch die Installation schlägt beim installieren von Kqemu fehl:

Ich benötige Win4Lin unbedingt, da es für unsere Firmensoftware keine Möglichkeit gibt, diese unter Linux zu ersetzen.
VMWare wäre wohl auch interessant, doch gibt es zur Zeit wohl keine Demo-Version zum testen.
Kann mir wer einen Lösungsansatz preisgeben? Danke im vorraus.

Äh... wie wär's mit einem kostenlosen Vollprodukt wie VMware Server ?

Kann ich nicht beurteilen - ich benutze VMware Workstation und die tut das was ich brauche.

ich habe gerade mal geschaut. vmware server (kostenlos) ist nicht das was ich suche?! bräuchte eher vmware workstation, und das ist wieder kostenpflichtig.

Warum brauchst Du Workstation und nicht Server ?

ach du Ich weiß ja selber noch nicht so genau, was ich brauche Bin noch nicht ewig bei Linux (3Wochen nun, mit testen von unterschiedlichen Distris). Meine Frage hat sich allerdings erstmal erledigt. Ich habe ein Problem mit 64Bit Versionen. Es gibt zu wenig Software, die das unterstützen und ich denke die meissten Fehler, die ich hier im Forum erörter kommen genau deswegen zustande. Dieser Thread kann erstmal gelöscht werden. Muß wieder alles auf 32bit ummodeln.

Win4Lin Professionial ist nix anderes als ein verkapptes Qemu+KQEMU.

Und als Dank für den Kauf ist einiges der Qemu Funktionalität nicht dabei: keine anderen Prozessoren als Host+Gast, nur Linux als Host, nur Windows als Gast.

Ich empfehle da ganz klar QEMU oder VMWARE-Server.
