[gelöst] erfahrungen mit wine und cedega

moin moin,

ich habe suse linux 9.3 erfolgreich installiert und wollte mal fragen, ob jemand positive erfahrungen mit wine und cedega gemacht hat? und eventuell tipps hat. Egal welcher Bereich Spiele/Programme :0) würde mich freuen

Zur Zeit läuft bei mir Point2Play nicht mit SuSE 9.3 zusammen. Wenn es jedoch funktioniert finde ich die ganze Angelegenheit sehr gut. Man darf halt nur nicht erwarten, dass alles sofort problemlos läuft. Also auf www.transgaming.com nachschauen, was unterstützt wird.

lade mir gerade point2play... mal gucken, ob ich mit diesen emulatoren klar komme

Hier noch der Workaround für SuSE 9.3:

It seems there is a bug with Point2Play and SuSE 9.3 we are looking into hte best way to fix this problem. For now the workaround is to do the following:
create a directory in /home/USERNAME/.point2play that you wish to appear in the left hand side of the Point2Play screen - this will be the Program Title:
mkdir ~/.point2play/GAME_TITLE
copy the contents of /home/USERNAME/.point2play/.winexver/VERSION/.transgaming/* to the new directory:
cp ~/.point2play/.winexver/winex-4.3.1/.transgaming/* ~/.point2play/GAME_TITLE
Launch Point2Play
Install the game but be sure to select the GAME_TITLE you created from the dropdown list for Program Title.
We are looking into a proper fix but this will get you going for now.

also ich habe mit Cedega/Point2Play sehr positive erfahrungen.

Nicht nur das World of Warcraft (nach langem Webbrowsen und Handarbeit) mit 30-60 FPS läuft. Auch alle Steam Spiele (Counterstrike, Half Live2,...) laufen problemlos. Anarchy Online läuft auch (allerdings seen die Schrigten dort nicht so schön aus was am Gameplay allerdings nicht stört). Ausserdem läufen auch viele Apps darunter.

Ich muss allerdings dazu sagen das man trotzdem um alles zu optimieren, hin und wieder mal ein paar korrekturen per Hand vornehmen muss.

Eine ausnahme gibt es aber: Das Spiel GunBound habe ich noch nicht zum laufen bekommen da dort irgendetwas mit der Browserintegration bzw. ActiveX Elementen immernoch nicht ganz funktioniert. (Werde es aber hoffentlich bald unter Wine zum laufen bekommen)

Probleme soll es allerdings oftmals mit ATI Karten geben, wobei auch hier meist englische workarounds zu einer Lösung verhelfen sollen.
