Wine + Unreal

Hi,

Hab mal aus Spass heute das schon etwas betagtere Unreal installiert. Installation und anschließender Patch auf Version 226 liefen problemlos. Leider gibt es im Spiel keinen Sound. Fehlt vielleicht etwas in meiner Config? Nachdem Ich keine Ahnung hab was da fehlen könnte poste Ich meine ganze config gleich mal mit:

Hallo,
Warum haste Unreal über Wine installiert?
Eigentlich gibts dafür installer, die das native unter Linux mitr OpenGL laufen lassen.
Und hast du Unreal oder eins von diesen UTs instralliert? Weil unter Unral stell ich mir das erte von 1998 vor. Es gibt ja sonst auch noch UT UT2003 U2 und UT2004!

Also entweder mal auf die CD schaun (bei UT03/04) is schon n installer dabei bei UT und U mal auf holarse.de schaun und da mit der Anleitung installieren.

Das einzige wäre U2, aber das hab ich mit Wine noch nicht zum Lafen bekommen. :wink:

Ist genau das erste aus anno 98. Auf Holarse.de hab Ich nur einen Artikel gefunden über Unreal 1 mit dem gleichen Problem dass der Sound nicht funzt.
Wenn Ich dich richtig verstehe funktioniert mit Unreal Windowsinstaller unter wine sowieso keine OpenGL Beschleunigung?

Hab doch noch was auf Holarse gefunden, allerdings braucht man für den Loki-Installer eine funktionierendes UT. Versteh Ich das richtig, dass Ich mir somit dann Wine schenken kann?

Alsoooo :lol:
um das Unreal zu installieren und zu spielen, brauchst du prinzipiell kein Wine. Es gibt sogenannte Loki-installer, die die Installation durchführen. Bei UT 2003/04 sind diese bereits auf den CDs. Bei Ut und U musst du sie aus dem Netz saugen - wird aber bei holarse auch beschrieben.

Das ganze läuft dann über OpenGL und ohne irgendeinen Emulator. Der kleine Haken an der Installation von Unreal ist, dass du UT brauchst.
Sprich du musst zuerst UT installieren und danach Unreal. Dadurch wird das Unreal dann als eine Art mod von UT eingespielt und verwendet soweit ich weiß auch die Engine von UT.

Aber bei mir läuft das einwandfrei (bis auf momentan, weil mein PC - besser das Mainboard in Reperatur is und ich mich mit 233MHz begnügen muss. :wink:

Aber eigentlich dürftest dualles bei Holarse finden...

Mit welcher Auflösung spielst Du? Bei mir wirds ab 800x600 kritisch (obwohls für zwischendurch eigentlich reicht). Mit 1600x1200 scheint der fglrx Treiber nicht ganz zu wollen, denn unter Windows läuft die Auflösung problemfrei.
Den Unreal-Installer hab Ich mir auch schon geholt aber jedesmal wenn Ich "sh unreali-installer.sh" in die Konsole schreib kommt nur ein Fenster ohne irgendeinen Hinweis oder sonstiges, nur mit ja oder nein. Ja geht nicht und klick ich nein, steigt er mit dem Error code (3) aus, den Ich noch nirgend gefunden hab.
Laut Holarse sollte das mit "sh unreali-installer" erledigt sein oder etwa nicht?

So Unreal ist jetzt auch drauf und somit erledigt. Lediglich die Farben sind noch invers aus irgendeinem Grund, aber das sollte sich lösen lassen.

Um das ganze installieren zu könnnen musst du vorher die CD einlegen und dann das ganze mounten.
Am besten hier schon als root anmelden - also su eingeben und dann das Passwort (hier kommen keine Sternchen - einfach eingeben und Enter drücken). Dann mount /dev/hdb /mnt (je nachdem wie viele Festplatten du hast mustst du bei nur einer Festplatte hdb, bei zweien hdc usw. eingeben - einfach die Stelle, an der das CD-Laufwerk am IDE-Kanal hängt.).

Wenn er nach dem Dateityp fragt musste noch ein mount -t iso9660 /dev...machen. (Sodele, du kannst auch versuchen nur mount cdrom einzigeben, aber ich weiß nicht, ob das auch klappt - als ich damals installiert hatte, hab ichs so umständlich wie eben erklährt gemacht...kannste ja mal ausprobiern :wink: )

Sodele, nach dem mouten der CD gehste in das Verzeichnis, wo der Installer liegt (also cd /home/username/...) und machst ein ./unrealinstaller.sh oder wie das eben heißt. Dann wird er dich so ein paar Pfade abfragen, die du aber alle auf den Standartwerten lassen kannst.

Wenn die Installation fertig ist und er dich fragt, ob du Unreal jetzt starten möchtest mit nein antworten, da du das ja nicht als root ausführen möchtest.

Wenn du die G.O.T.Y.-Edition hast musst du noch ein Script ausführen, was einige Dateinamen ändert, aber das ist auch auf holarse.de beschrieben....

Und wie gesagt mit UT anfangen und danach dasselbe noch mal mit Unreal durchführen. Um die CDs zu wechseln einfach umount /mnt (cdrom, wenn du es mit mount cdrom gemacht hast) , dann neue CD reinlegen und wieder mounten.

So ich hoffe, dass das einigermaßen verständlich formuliert ist und du es hinbekommst - es mag jetzt etwas kompliziert klingen, aber das bekommste schon hin! :wink:

Ich spiel das ganze auf 1280x1024 mit 16Bit soweit ich weiß und bis auf ein paar nicht weiter störende Grafikfehler an Kanten, bei denen es etwas flimmert läuft alles einwandfrei^^

Na da warste wohl schneller als ich mitm Installen---
aber zu den Farben - das hatte ich auch; Lösung is aber ganz einfach! Du musst nur in den Einstellungen die Gamma-Korrektur runterstellen, die ist am Anfang ganz oben!

Und dann geht's auch! :wink:

Das mit den Farben lag nur an der falschen Renderingdevice. Nach Umstellen auf OpenGL passt alles, lediglich schade dass vom ATI-Treiber her scheinbar nicht mehr als 800x600 drin ist.

P.S.: Der mount-Befehl hat bei mir keine Wirkung gehabt, Ich habs dann mit "export SETUP_CDROM=/media/cdrecorder" hinbekommen und beim shellskript hats bei mir erst mit der Option --keep hingehaut.
Danke nochmals für Deine Tipps, Ich hätt wahrscheinlich noch ewig mit wine rumgegurkt :p
