NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Go maximal 1024 x 768 [gelöst]

Hallo,
habe auf ein älteres Notebook (Das Notebook ist ein Toshiba A80-154.) Suse 13.1 kopiert - also nicht wirklich installiert ;)
Nach einigen Anpassungen funktioniert alles, aber: Es gelingt mir nicht über eine Auflösung von 1024 x 768 hinauszukommen.

Das Notebook hat eine NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Go Grafikkarte

Primary display adapter: #22
Der nouveau Treiber hat die Auflösung 1024 x 768 als höchste angezeigt. Daraufhin habe ich den proprietären NVIDIA Treiber installiert, auch dieser liefert max. 1024 x 768. Habe die Installation zuerst über die 1 Klick Methode aus dem Internet gemacht, da wurden die NVIDIA Treiber nvidia-gfxG03-kmp* installiert. Da es nichts gebracht hat, habe ich dann die Treiber der Serie nvidia-gfxG02-kmp* mit YAST installiert.

Auch im Bootmanager kann ich maximal 1024 x 768 einstellen.
Ich will aber nicht glauben, dass die GPU nicht mehr kann.

Bin sehr dankbar für jeden Tipp.

Was zeigt ein "xrandr -q" als verfügbare Auflösungen an ? Kannst du mit xrandr manuell eine andere Aufösung einstellen ?

Mit Puppy Linux Live CD kann ich problemlos eine Auflösung von z.B. 1280 x 1024 einstellen.
Aber die Live CD von Suse 13.1 hat auch ihre Schwierigkeiten. Der Bootvorgang dauert ewig und dann gibt es Bildstörungen, so dass man eigentlich nicht arbeiten kann.
Komisch, mit Puppy Linux funktioniert es meistens mit der Grafik, warum gibt es gerade bei Suse da immer Schwierigkeiten?

Lösche die xorg.conf wieder, die hat bei mir immer Probleme bereitet ist ist eigentlich auch überflüssig.

Hast Du es mal mit dem Nvidia-Tool versucht?

Zumindest das Originaldisplay des Toshiba A80-154 kann mehr, siehe heir: http://www.toshiba.de/discontinued-products/satellite-a80-154/
Wenn ein Austausch erfolgt ist, kann es natürlich sein, dass Du eins mit geringerer Auflösung erwischt hast. :D
Ich verstehe aber trotzdem die ganze Aufregung nicht. Auflösungen von > 1024X768 lassen auf einem 15" TFT alles so klein werden, dass man nur mit Not was erkennt. Das geht zumindest mir so, kann aber auch meinem Alter liegen :D

Da es nichts gebracht hat, habe ich dann die Treiber der Serie nvidia-gfxG02-kmp* mit YAST installiert.
