rdist (remote file distribution utility) is a useful function much used in for example Solaris systems
In the SUSE-YAST repositories there is also an "rdist" but trying to download and install it one gets the error message:
"/media.1/not found on 'http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/oss/' "
and rdist is not installed.
One would also need the daemon/dienst "rdistd" on the back-up server but "rdistd" is not found at all in the repositories!
Is this function supposed to be available on Suse-Linux?
