grub lädt immer falschen kernel

habe meinen wunschkernel kompiliert und installiert,

update-grub findet beide vorhandenen kernel und alles wird richtig eingetragen, denk ich

geladen werden soll der kernel 2.6.23.9-rt13

aber es wird immer der kernel 2.6.26-2-686-bigmem geladen, egal ob ich default 2 wähle
oder sogar nur den wunschkernel drin lasse und den andern ganz rauslösche

ist grub völlig egal was da drin steht scheinbar, lilo und grub2 sind NICHT installiert.
