Hallo Leute,

erstmal sorry für's Crossposting. Ich habe mein Problem schon im UB gepostet, aber außer den Vorschlägen, ne andere Distribution zu nutzen, keine weitere Hilfe gefunden. (Edit: aufgrund techn. Proble musste im UB ein Backup eingespielt werden - der o.g. Thread viel dadurch raus. Das Thema Crossposting hat sich somit erledigt ;) ) Bin auch schon seit Tagen am googlen und am Lesen in verschiedenen Foren. Komme aber nicht weiter.

Ich hab ziemliche Probleme bei der Installation/dem Betrieb von Linux auf diesem Notebook: http://www.notebooksbilliger.de/product_info.php/fsc_amilo_xa2528_2048mb_ram_320gb_festplatte"

Der Versuch der Installation: versucht mit den SuSE-Versionen 9.3, 10.0, 10.2 und 10.3. IMMER endet die Installation nach dem Laden des Kernels und einiger Treiber mit der Fehlermeldung:

Anschließend lande ich in YaST1 und komme dort nicht weiter, weil kein Installationsmedium im CD-Laufwerk gefunden wird. Als Bootparameter habe ich versucht: Sichere Einstellungen, kein ACPI, kein lokales ACPI, brokenmodules=pata_amd sowie "hwprobe=-modules.pata".
Auch der Versuch, Fedora zu installlieren, scheitert mit einer Fehlermeldung bezüglich des CD/DVD-Laufwerks.
Die einzige Lösung, die ich gefunden habe, war die Installation mittels dem Start-CD-Image und über Netzwerk (ftp).

Jetzt läuft zwar openSUSE 10.3 auf meinem Rechner, allerdins laufen bei jedem Boot folgende Prüfungen durch, was (alleine für die hier geposteten Meldungen zweieinhalb Minuten dauert!!!):

IDE soll wohl (laut nvidia-HP http://www.nvidia.de/object/linux_nforce_1.23_de.html ) mit dem Treiber amd74xx angesprochen werden und SATA mit sata_nv. SuSE installiert aber pata_amd statt amd74xx. Der Versuch über brokenmodules=pata_amd bringt SuSE zwar dazu, amd74xx zu verwenden (genau wie hwprobe=-modules.pata), aber nach erfolgter Netzwerkinstallation (denn das Quellmedium wird trotzdem nicht gefunden) bootet SuSE nicht mehr. Der Bildschirm bleibt einfach schwarz.

Hab dann auch mal versucht, das Kernelmodul amd74xx im laufenden System mit modprobe amd74xx zu laden, aber keine Besserung. lsmod sagt dann zwar, dass das Kernelmodul geladen ist, das System scheint aber nicht drauf zuzugreifen.

Ich selber habe noch keine Lösung. Allerdings hat im amilo-forum jemand geschrieben, dass er mit Kernel 2.6.24-rc3 und der Bootoption hda=nodma das Problem behoben hätte.

Ich werde noch das Final Release abwarten und es dann nochmal versuchen.

MCP51 und Konsorten benötigen, wenn ich das richtig sehe, einen aktuelleren Kernel.
Bei meinem 2.6.24.1 müsste ich z. B. das noch berücksichtigen:

Ist NCQ aktiv? Das kann man meist im BIOS irgendwo umstellen.
