[gelöst] Suse 9.3 Command not found

Hi, ich habe folgendes problem. ich habe einige befehle wie z.b. rlog / locate die er bei mir komischerweise nicht findet. findutils sowie rlog werden aber unter yast2 als installiert angezeigt. ich hatte mal in der bash.bashrc.local 2 aliase hinzugefügt aber an der eigentlichen bash.bashrc nicht wirklich was geändert.

auch eine neuinstallation hat nicht geholfen und da es ein vserver ist kann ich net einfach die installations dvd einschieben und auf reparieren gehen.

hab auch schon im forum nach ansätzen oder fehlern die es sein könnten gesucht aber nichts was mir weiterhelfen konnte.

kommt immer -bash: locate: command not found

auch noch bei einigen anderen befehlen.

BTW: SuSE 9.3 ist seit kurzem nicht mehr supported, ich würde so langsam an etwas Neueres denken.

hmm nee findet er nicht.

ja ich weiß net wie das ist weil es wie gesagt ein vserver ist, da kann ich ja auch nicht eigenmächtig alles updaten wer weiß ob es dann noch so läuft wie es soll mit der software / confixx von denen zusammen.

Das war zu erwarten, wenn "locate" nicht vorhanden ist.

Also das entsprechende Paket nachinstallieren, Name steht ja da.

ehem oki ^^ sorry mein fehler komm mir grad blöd vor. ich dachte locate wäre schon direkt im standard findutil packet :)

wenn jetzt rlog auch noch gehen würde ^^ wäre meine welt in ordnung :D

nur weil ich net wußte, daß locate nicht im standard findutils paket ist ?
nen kumpel hatte mir gesagt das wäre da drin. du bildest dir aber schnell eine meinung ? naja zum glücke tue ich das nicht gleich nach unangebrachten kommentaren ;)

dann starte ich eben einen weiteren post damit "wir" zufrieden sind :)

Eine einfache Suche im Paketmanager deines Vertrauens hätte dir auch weitergeholfen (vor allem da "locate" sogar im Paketnamen enthalten ist).
Wie soll das dann erst bei "richtigen" Problemen werden ...

(dient der Übersichtlichkeit)
Lösungen sind über die Suchfunktion einfacher zu finden, wenn pro Thread nur eine Frage behandelt wird.
Außerdem werden Threads mit mehreren Fragen i.d.R. schnell unübersichtlich.

man kanns auch übertreiben ^^ entschuldige, daß ich einem kumpel vertraut habe :) schande über mich. habe bei rpmfind.net nach locate gesucht und dort hatter nix gefunden. google und wikipedia brachten mich nach gnu.org dort spuckte er mir dann findutils aus und rpmfind.net spuckte mir nur rpm's ohne locate im namen aus. deshalb bin ich davon ausgegangen, daß es mit im paket ist. aber wie gesagt man kann auch viel wind um einen kleinen fehler machen danke ;)

haja sehr lustig. ich kann dir gerne nen screenshot machen oder ein video wie ich search drücke aber auch mit SUSE findet er nichts.

edit: auch bei deinem link zeigt er nix an. ich weiß net wieso ihr da jetzt nen staatsakt draus macht.

Vielleicht solltest Du mal Deine Software (insbesondere den Browser) vernünftig konfigurieren.

ich glaub dir das es bei dir geht jedoch solltest du auch mir glauben. ich bin auf der arbeit und hinter einem proxy der sehr viel falsches ausspuckt. ich habe nicht die möglichkeit hier etwas am browser oder dem proxy zu verändern.

und wenn man nicht weiß das rpmfind.net einen fehler macht warum sollte man dann auf eine andere seite wechseln ?

ich versteh net warum man hier so unfreundlich sein muß nur weil man mal ne kleinigkeit net wußte und nen fehler gemach hat. für die umstände hier kann ich nichts. aber nein stattdessen wird man hier als blöd oder unfähig einen search button zu drücken hingestellt. ein bischen tolleranz und freundlichkeit würde hier nicht schaden.

nobody is perfect.

so hab hier auch nichts mehr zu zusagen. danke für die hilfe und vielleicht auf ein bischen mehr freundlichkeit in zukunft. danke

Ich bekomme das gleiche Ergebnis wie Rain_Maker,vielleicht liegt es ja wirklich am Proxy.
